Description: La Brezza, meaning ocean breeze, is considered to be one of Calgary's finest Italian restaurants. Opened in 1987 and still in its original location - once the owners house, La Brezza continues to offer an elegantly simple Italian cuisine, emphasizing traditional home-cooked goodness. You can enjoy a satisfying lunch and dinner menu with daily specials and you can even indulge on Sundays as we are one of the few local restaurants open 7 days a week. We pride ourselves in offering great food, great service, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. See you soon!

La Brezza at 990 1st Ave NE is in a small older residential house that has been converted into a restaurant. La Brezza is a very casual neighborhood restaurant serving lunch and dinner. The small cozy indoor restaurant can be a little noisy. They have a limited wine menu. Average presentations, not trendy, good portions, good service and reasonable prices.... More

Took my wife here and had the linguini ali al olio (I believe that's what it was called). It was apparently a very traditional, classic and simple dish, and it was, but the flavor was amazing! We love the atmosphere. Every time we've come in we've felt like family. Love this place. We'll be coming here for our anniversary.

The temperature was over 85 F. The red wine we ordered was a little warm. Another server asked us if we wanted it cooled down a bit but it was too late. The food was outstanding and was a great value including the wine. The wine list was short but high quality. If it wasn't for the wine experience I... More

We were looking for the Calgary Zoo after landing from Pittsburgh and wanted to get some lunch prior to seeing the zoo. The first place we saw after getting off the main highway was La Brezza. We saw the sign saying "Quick Lunch." It was around 1:30 PM so the lunch crowd had left and we had the place pretty... More

For our overnight stay in Calgary we selected this restaurant to have dinner. Did our homework thru TripAdvisor just to be sure. Cousy little place; local neighborhood gem! The bruschetta had a delicious kick! The homemade sausage is fantastic in the pasta with a rich red sauce. For dessert had the zabaglione... Mmmm! (And I'm not an egg yoke type... More

My wife and I chose La Brezza after hearing about it for years. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it any time. We would also recommend that you make a reservation, it fills up fast!

If you are in the mood for the best Italian food in Alberta, try La Brezza. Eggplant parmigiano, calamari and linguini unbelievably good.

Introduced by Tripsadvisor, which is rated at the top of Calgary restaurants. It is not located in the centre of downtown, but a quite nice neighbourhood. Many roadside car parks available outside. La Brezza is a small house at a corner, quite easy to locate. Very good atmosphere with a lot of wines. I love the steak, not easy to... More

Ate at La Brezza over the weekend based on the trip advisor reviews. The food was very good, especially the bruchetta. Maybe our expectations were too high because it is rated number two, but it just seemed to be missing that something special to make it an exceptional place to eat. Worth a try but missing the wow factor.
