I wouldn't say I'm a huge burger fan, but just off a flight from the UK it seemed to be required. Happy to have chosen the James Joyce Irish Pub. Food was way better than I expected and in particular the burgers (had two different kinds on two different visits including a lamb & pistachio one - yum!). Would def... More

A good bar/restaurant with typical I risk fair. Well worth the visit. Good prices, lots of food choices & drink choices. Heavy on the Guinness.

my first time in Calgary , I went to this irish pub for diner with a friend of mine. Shepperd pie was excellent, they have a good choice of beer but the most astonishing thing was the service . I did not get the name of the waitress but she gave us an excellent service. she was constantly ahead of... More

My daughter came in from the cold and were immediately greeted by the bartender who joked about the weather. Our drinks came quickly - they have a large selection of beer on tap and always have several on special. The food warmed the cockles of my heart which is exactly what I needed on a frosty day. A little slow... More

We had a blast at the Pub! Our food was excellent, the service delightful, and the atmosphere was simply the best. Each of us ordered something different, sampled by all, and each meal was equally impressive. Server was very friendly and followed up well on our order. The place was packed and loud - everyone just having fun! Would love... More

Good pints, decent food. This was right around the corner from the Hyatt and the Calgary Tower. As the title indicates, it was nice to go into a place for a beer and a sandwich and not have five screens of hockey and football.

We had a few days in Calgary, and quite a few weeks in Canada. This was the only place that I found where the bar staff knew how to draw a Guinness properly, so it gets high marks due to that fact alone! It has some authenticity as an Irish pub, with a lot of Irish memorabilia around the walls;... More

Like all Irish bars across the globe this one has plenty of taps to suggest it's allegiances to the likes of Guinness but this ones decor is pretty accurate to what you would come across in Dublin. The atmosphere was good and the pints poured well. As an Irishman I hate going to Irish bars but this one bucked the... More

Good Irish pub, nicely decorated, good menu, pleasant service. Not only the standard items on the menu, but also some little, tasty surprises. If you come at the time where there is live (Irish) music, it will be hard to leave. Great place to hang out with friends

Sat at the bar since it was just me - bartender was attentive without being intrusive. He made an excellent lunch suggestion and was super friendly and personable. Great location close to Calgary Tower and little shops. I will definitely be bringing my hubby back here when we have the time
