Authentic Irish Pub

Great local pub. Very convenient to downtown hotels and shopping. Kind service by a truly Irish barkeep. Good selection of Irish beers, whisky, and local micro brews. At the suggestion of the bartender I had the Irish stew with a side of garlic bread for dipping and it was LEGIT!

It's a standard pub. They've went a step further and covered nearly every surface with pub specific pub stuff. It has a wide sprawling labyrinthine layout that makes people walk around looking confused when they attempt to locate friends. The music is usually moderately loud and is in a pretty good location in Mission.

This is funny little pub on Stephen Avenue mall with a great summer patio and excellent food. Great for a summer runaway!

We are regular customers at the James Joyce and wanted to write about the 2 Irish staff that make the visit remind us of our trip to Ireland. Emer and Edele, both from Ireland provide fantastic personal customer service. They remind you of what the people in Ireland are about. Would recommend a visit and if you are there say... More

Entire Irish decor with most items are authentic from the Emerald Isle. Great food selection for a reasonable price and is of Irish origin. And some of the staff have the Irish accent. Heard the Irish Pub Club is a popular item. The singing group Celtic Thunder was there for St. Patrick's 2015.

Stopped in on a recommendation from my co-workers. What a gem, very authentic and rustic looking. Our waitress Adele had an authentic Irish voice which really sealed the deal. They make a killer soup and the appetizers that we had were great. Guinness on tap was the best that I had on the trip. Stop here for a pint

We have been frequent visitors to the JJ and never had reason to complain until the weekend. Arrived at about 2.45 and the pub was quiet only a couple of patrons here and there, we were seated and the server took our drink order we both ordered Harp as usual, on its arrival both my wife and I tasted and... We arrived by chance, just to have a drink and relax a little before heading out for the rest of the evening; we ended up staying for nearly three hours. We had an amazing time, simply amazing. The Pub was very clean and the decor was very cool (very nice atmosphere). But what made our experience absolutely perfect was the... More
