Had the lamb burger which was great. Worth getting again. One of our group had the shepard 's pie and had great reviews. The Guiness float was not what was expected - more of a milk shake. Onion rings very good but calamari was just ok. Great beer selection. Service was good. Cool pub environment. Worth a repeat visit.

I really loved their steak. Excellently well done with Beets. Very nice ambience and a good chill spot for one and a party

We stopped there for lunch while seeing the downtown area of Calgary. There were three of us. We ordered the chicken burger with apples and chutney and many French fries; potato pancakes with vegetables; and chicken curry boxty. Each was great in its own way.

Not too impressed with being moved around because of "reserved" tables. The so called customers didn't even show! Still the best Guinness in town

I wouldn't say I'm a huge burger fan, but just off a flight from the UK it seemed to be required. Happy to have chosen the James Joyce Irish Pub. Food was way better than I expected and in particular the burgers (had two different kinds on two different visits including a lamb & pistachio one - yum!). Would def... More

A good bar/restaurant with typical I risk fair. Well worth the visit. Good prices, lots of food choices & drink choices. Heavy on the Guinness.

my first time in Calgary , I went to this irish pub for diner with a friend of mine. Shepperd pie was excellent, they have a good choice of beer but the most astonishing thing was the service . I did not get the name of the waitress but she gave us an excellent service. she was constantly ahead of... More

My daughter came in from the cold and were immediately greeted by the bartender who joked about the weather. Our drinks came quickly - they have a large selection of beer on tap and always have several on special. The food warmed the cockles of my heart which is exactly what I needed on a frosty day. A little slow... More

We had a blast at the Pub! Our food was excellent, the service delightful, and the atmosphere was simply the best. Each of us ordered something different, sampled by all, and each meal was equally impressive. Server was very friendly and followed up well on our order. The place was packed and loud - everyone just having fun! Would love... More

Good pints, decent food. This was right around the corner from the Hyatt and the Calgary Tower. As the title indicates, it was nice to go into a place for a beer and a sandwich and not have five screens of hockey and football.
