I still plan on visiting the actual restaurant, but we were in the area of Deerfoot Mall and wanted to try this place out! I recommend the Pulled Pork sandwich! We ordered both the pulled pork and the beef brisket, out of the two, the pulled pork was awesome! The customer service was great! They offered to explain which sauce... More

Ate here when it first opened a few years back and it was Incredible. Tastey fresh BBQ Ate there 4 mths ago and it was suspect, but we gave it a pass that we hit it on an off day. Had the most disappointing lunch there yesterday. Did someone decide old frozen meat scraps from Chile make better tasting bone... More

First time we tried this place - loved it. Food was excellent and definitely we'll be back. We only had the pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw but thought it was great. Strange little place but the atmosphere was perfect for a very casual barbecue place.

I told everyone I knew about this place. The food was excellent....Until the Wife and I both become sick one night after eating here. This was the only thing we had in common that day so we believe it must have been from the beef brisket sandwich. What a shame I really enjoyed this place before this and I haven't... More

Had lunch here today, service was friendly and helpful, brisket was pulled (would've preferred sliced) but nice enough, house sauce really good, beans not really cooked enough or smokey enough, slaw good, surroundings simple and cool - not bad for Calgary bbq Rob

Very pleasantly surprised. Excellent BBQ sandwiches, amazing corn bread (from someone who does not like corn bread), great sweet tea. Definitely on my return list

I had the best in Memphis so I'm searching for something close here. Located a block east of Peters drive in this place is a small walkin and take out joint. They have seats along the window but that it. I tried everything. First the pulled pork, it was good but the bun was close to being stale so that... More

This is a fast-food restaurant offering takeouts and eat-ins. The idea of offering specialized smoked meat sandwiches is good, but the restaurant also offers insects --- this eating place is full of flies, ants and other flying insects, plenty enough to make eating-in a very negative experience that you may accidentally eat something you don't intend to eat without your... Cheap eats. Hillbilly style. Pulled pork in a bun, corn bread, coleslaw & baked beans with molasses goodness. Seriously, go early cuz the ribs 'n chicken...they sell out! Homemade BBQ sauces-any flavour. Try the apple. Put it all together with a beer or lemonade...within a southern back-lot style decor and it will have you saying, "Y'all come back now...ye hear?".

I eat BBQ every chance I get. Calgary is Steak Town, but we also have some good BBQ (Big D's Smokehouse is exceptional for Big Beef Ribs and Sliced Brisket). Holy Smoke BBQ wasn't even in the same league as Big D's. I ate at the Deerfoot Mall location and there was NO smokehouse sensation - aroma of smoke, no... More
