Great bistro food

On a cold Saturday night we visited this cute little bistro tucked in next to an upscale grocery store on 17th Avenue West. Service was excellent and very attentive. Pleasant but not imposing. Our table ordered a couple of appetizers that just increased our appetite for more. We had olives and a... read more

After more than 10 visits to this restaurant I continue to be impressed by the quality of the food. It's all good, but they are the absolute best for dishes using eggs. The Quiche and the Croques are amazing. This is the best overall restaurant in Calgary.

This bistro is the perfect quaint place to have a fabulous lunch out with friends. I wouldn't say the menu is kid friendly but maybe that's why the atmosphere is always calm. The service is outstanding and if you go, be sure to try the seafood quiche! This chef is from France so when I say authentic cuisine, it doesn't... More

November 2015 - I had a few relatives visiting from out of town and I wanted to take them out for a nice meal. Cassis is my fallback for this sort of thing and we were not disappointed. The service as usual was great. The food was fantastic ... I really enjoyed they special of the day. Cassis is easily... More

Small restaurant. Very loud. Trendy. Very small menu. Market price steak is just few slices of beef with McDonalds French fries. Initially when they opened that had homemade potato chips with the stake tartar, now they use Old Dutch potato chips. Service is good. They have try and have 3 turns per night, so you are in and out. This... More

Doing a quick search of good places for lunch in Calgary, I've came across Cassis Bistro and decided to give it a go. When we got there the staff was very welcoming and the atmosphere and decor made us feel like we are back in Paris. We had the soup of the day which was delicious, served in the typical... More

Fantastic restaurant! There is minimal seating so make reservations well in advance for your preferring seating time. The atmosphere is lively but not so loud that you can't enjoy the company you're with. The food is always great (amazing polenta!) and made with local ingredients. Both the chef and owner are from France, so they truly know how to deliver... More

Fantastic small bistro. Ate here on a Thursday night. It was busy with just a few empty tables the entire time we were there. We tried all the appetizers, which included a lamb sausage, olives, an eggplant spread and an olive tapenade. My husband had steak frites, I had a cornish game hen special. All were delicious. Service was friendly... More

We have enjoyed the food at Cassis for several years. We spent three weeks in France this summer and found few restaurants to exceed the quality and taste of the food served at Cassis.
