Cassis is easily my favourite restaurant in Calgary. I live in the area and have been many times, but even on my first visit I felt like a regular. All of the staff are super friendly and everyone is extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine and can answer virtually any question you may have. All of the food is... More

I live in the neighbourhood, and I eat at Cassis quite often. It's a great place to come for lunch, dinner, or for a beer after work. The beef tartare is fantastic!

This is a great little bistro tucked away by the military museums. The food was outstanding, the service was beyond compare and the atmosphere is quaint and fabulous! I did not even need a knife for the beef, the mash potatoes were so delicious I could eat 2 plates, and the vegetables and sauce were delicious! I highly recommend this... More

I recently met a friend of mine for lunch at Cassis. It was walking distance for both of us. We didn't have a reservation, and were surprised to find that they were booked up for lunch. The hostess initially sat us at the bar, which we were absolutely fine with. After a few minutes she offered us a table for... More

Went with friends for lunch but very limited menu. I chose the quiche to eat and was told they had no more. As I did not want the Market Fish dish $24.00 nor the Faux Fillet $36.00 only had the choice of a sandwich. Ordered the Croque Monsieur $15.00 and had basically a grilled ham & Cheese (very little ingredients)with... More

We dined at Cassis for the first time this week. The food was outstanding but the service was lacking, and not what one would expect at a restaurant of this calibre. We were made to feel rushed and the waiter was quite indifferent towards our requests.

I have been coming to this restaurant for the last few years. I really like their steak tartar, their drinks (especially kir) and their desserts. We also always have the charcuterie platter, which has meats, pate and other goodies. The service is very good. There is parking inside the building (it was about $3 for the weekend evening when we... More

We accompanied friends to Cassis on a recent Tuesday evening. Warmly greeted and shown to our reserved table (reservations are highly recommended as the place was packed on a Tuesday at 7 pm - with diners still arriving after 9 pm). Decor is soft elegance with seating for around 60 or so (including at the bar). Menu is small, (French... More

This is a very popular spot so reservations are recommended. The maître d'hôtel put on a bit of a faux francais greeting but all went smoothly. The décor, as is typical of a bistro, is quite modest and the seating gives a very cosy feel. As a small appetizer, the merguez is a must. The lamb we tried was excellent,... More
