It has been around for 30 plus years

Only foreign tourists should need to be told about the Keg. It is a reliable steak house. I gave this particular location 5 out of 5 for the reason that I did not believe we could be seated and served in 45 minutes during busy dinner time. We were - with time to spare.

Three of us on a Friday night without a reservation. We tried our luck at The Keg and were able to sit at the bar comfortably. Calamari appetizer was good. My filet medium-rare was delicious. We could chat, eat and have drinks. Overall a great experience and tasty food. I will be back next time in Calgary!

When I got the Westin it was late and I was tired. So I voted to just go to the attached restaurant and lowered my expectations accordingly. There was no need to do that, this place is absolutely first-rate. I'm not a wine drinker so when I saw their extensive wine list I prepared myself to be disappointed in the... More

Connected to the Weston, in the downtown area, it has been a predominantly business crowd (myself one of them) each time I have visited. In general, it is a nice space even when semi-busy that meets expectations. During my most recent trip, we ended up here twice. The first night, after arriving in the city, we sat in the lounge... My husband and I decided to try the Keg due to its locale and reviews. We don't usually do steak houses but it seemed worth while to try. I will start with the positives. Our sever was fantastic. He was attentive, honest and very pleasant. Though I would rather not mention names, he will go far if he continues his... More

The Keg is a modern and darkish bar and steak restaurant inside or connected to the Westin hotel. The chatty manager classified what I thought was a busy evening as the slowest Thursday ever, so it must be quite popular. The hipper-than-thou male and female waitstaff were fashionably and dare I say somewhat scarcely clad in black and very friendly... More

Efficient and pleasant staff. Nice atmosphere and great menu for a business lunch. It was very busy, but you wouldn't really know it as the layout has lots of private areas.

We had a Friday night dinner at the Keg. It was super busy but we were seated quickly and courteously. Lots of great food choices. We had appetizers with little wait time. Fresh bread - yum! And of course steak! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the waiter attended to our every need. Have been here before and will be back!

The Keg in the Westin is very good! Setting is nice, service is far and fast and the food was perfectly cooked if you want a good steak. Mine was a little (New York) was a little salty, but I ate it anyway. I've been to a couple of Kegs in Calgary and I would say this one is one... More

The Keg in the Westin in downtown Calgary is the best in the city! The food quality/consistency is great, great service, and also the most updated/upscale decor. We love the "Keg Classic" dinner, which comes with a choice of salad, and choice of steak (accompanied by roasted mushrooms, potato choice, and veggie choice). Great value for a steakhouse in downtown... More
