Food excellent, $100 light meal.

As part of a large group, fixed 3-course menu provided. Roast & pickled beets appetiser, dry aged beef with greens, blueberries dessert. Food was excellent for a light meal; alcohol prices startling to an AUS eye (but then I was sticking with water) price was averaged over all diners, inc. tip, so... read more

I've been to Charcut several times now. It is definitely a favorite of mine in Calgary. I haven't had a bad meal yet, although I was extremely disappointed with the bread and melted cheese that my sister ordered during my last visit. I would not recommend that to anyone. Besides that, everything I've had at this restaurant has ranged from... More

That rare and highly sought after combination of outstanding food, terrific service, and reasonable price. I have had lunch at Charcut a half dozen times, and they've knocked it out of the park. Every. Single. Time. A choice of $15 or $25 lunch specials make this one heck of a deal given the supreme quality of the food and service... More

We often visit there as a group for lunches. The staff would provide the most attentive service and deliver the fresh made food on the table. I have never been disappointed, except for holidays when the bookings were crazy and that we have to wait a while even though we have reservations.

It is located near Calgary Tower. I would classify this restaurant as fine dinning because of the price. You can't go wrong with the poutine; however, I have such a high expectation going into the restaurant since my friend has been complimenting it non stop after he went. Consider of the high pricing and the flavor of the food I... More

Every meal we have had here has been excellent. They specialize in meats, and do very well all around. They have the best poutine here that I have ever had. SO GOOD!!!

We had a party of 7 on a Friday evening. The food was very good and well presented. The waiter was exceptional and very accommodating and attentive. The only thing that was lacking was the portion sizes, which were small and very expensive. We left there still hungry.....very disappointing!!! We will not recommend this place to friends or family.

Second trip to Carcut. The atmosphere is great. They do a good business here. It's somewhat family style dining. They pile on the meat...and I mean PILE. 3 stars because while the volume of the food is incredible, the quality and flavors are just OK. Its pretty pricey but you do get a lot of food. To be honest I... More

- Thursday afternoon for dinner... party of three. - Celebrating a family milestone. - Great service but a bit slow to our standard... 10 minutes before the order was taken. - Average food, quite expensive for what you get. - The octopus appetizer was FANTASTIC!!!... and that was it. - Everything else went down from the appetizer... $15 CAD burger... Must, must MUST try the poutine and the roasted chicken! Hell, go big and try a big portion of the menu as I did. I promise it will knock your socks off!
