We passed on our reservations and made our way to the bar area to make some new friends and get a bite to eat. We were early (not used to it staying light until 11PM!!!) as usual compared to the locals and their later dining times and the place was nearly empty and we were thinking oh boy, what have... More

I had a gift card languishing in a drawer so decided to go for lunch. Sat at the bar and was well taken care of. Had the devilled eggs appetizer. Sounds ordinary, but it was totally great presentation and taste. For my main, I had the wagyu beef hamburger. Wow! They actually cooked it the way I wanted -medium rare.... More

We had two birthday celebrations and had been to Rush many years ago and wanted to see the "new and improved" Rush. While they say there is parking available, it is not easy to find. When you do, you have to buzz in to get into the parking (after 5 pm) and then go through quite the maze to get... More

My husband and I were staying 1 night in Calgary and this restaurant, which got very good reviews, was right down the street within walking distance. We first stopped at their bar before heading to our table. My husband ordered a vodka on the rocks. Lots of rocks, very little vodka! Didn't even look like a full shot. My Margarita... More

We booked an evening meal for two, the restaurant reviews appeared positive and it was handy for our hotel. On entering it appeared the majority of customers were business people and the atmosphere was somewhat subdued. One of us enjoyed our meal the other was disappointed perhaps because of a poor choice. However the evening was spoilt for both of... More

This is "THE" place to see and be seen in downtown Calgary. The food is perfectly cooked. The steaks are great, although not at the level of Vintage Chophouse. I had the carb cake as appetizer, and it was moist, perfectly grilled, and tasty. The tenderloin was very tender and the garnish was delicate. Dessert was home made crème Brule,... More

In the middle of nowhere next to the train station in Calgary is a great seafood restaurant with an even better bar. All the top brands, even hard to find brands that are there for your enjoyment. Had four wonderful rums, a half dozen oysters (that were perfectly delicious) and a twice baked potato loaded with lobster...quite unique and to... More

First things first - go here with a couple of other people and make sure to order the seafood tower as your appetizer. This was what made our night. The prices might make you blink a few times, but the service and quality is impeccable. We were a large group of 12 and not once did our server make a... More

We visited Rush with some friends recently after reading reviews of how the restaurant had recently rebranded itself (one of several). The restaurant became known to be snooty and pretentious and they knew this had to be changed. We wanted to see how they'd change... We were all quite satisfied with the quality of the food. Very notable was the... More

The decor and ambiance is what impressed us first. The waiter was professional and friendly. The Mediterranean and Cesar salads were divine. I had the halibut which was cooked to perfection - flaky and moist. My husband's triple A steak was grilled perfectly at medium rare. The delivery of the food was timed perfectly. Can't wait to visit again.
