Just having got to Calgary, I thought I would enjoy a very nice restaurant - picked rush, made a reservation and then found out that families are not permitted. Something about government regulations - kinda funny - as last night I took the family to a brew pub for dinner with no problems with government regulations. I think they should... More

Enjoyed a business dinner I experienced there last week ... appetizers (Caesar Salad) and entrée (6 oz steak) were very good ... wine proposed by sommelier was appropriate and the dessert (Rush Buttercake) was to die for. All in all great meal ... service was also good.

My husband and I were staying at the Fairmont across the street and chose Rush for its proximity and because the menu was extensive but not overwhelming. We shared vegetarian sushi (awesome!) for an appetizer, each ordered a filet with bernaise sauce for our main course and finished with the cheese plate. The food, service, and ambiance were fantastic and... More

We went here for Christmas Party at work.. we are a small company but had a beautiful dining experience. The food was excellent and we all had a great time I had the tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection ... The ambience was wonderful!! The only thing is the drinks were a little slow our waiter might have been... More

Wagu beef tartar appetizer was good but seemed a bit off for my taste. The scallop and short rib (their specialty ) was very good. Scallops were great but the short rib was ok. Service was very friendly. Wine was very over priced. One person had the caparcio appetizer which was great (best part of the meal). Good but not... More

I came here with some colleagues and clients as a work lunch. There were 10 of us, so the staff seated us in a private room which was a pleasant surprise. We were served a round of drinks promptly as we perused the menu. Knowing that the restaurant specialized in seafood, I ordered the shellfish cobb salad with lobster, crab,... More

This was probably one of the most well-rounded dinners I have enjoyed in a long time - food, service and ambiance were all lovely. Melt-in-your-mouth tender beef short ribs over truffle-infused whipped potatoes. Dessert was a maple-drizzled cheesecake. All kinda basic restaurant foods, but Rush did them elegantly and in a handsome dining setting. Prices were okay (nothing is reasonable... More

If you enjoy a good Alberta steak and haven't had it prepared the sous vide (under vacuum) way, you must try it here. This method cooks the steak uniformly in an airtight bag in a temperature controlled water bath, and then sears it so you get a tender, juicy and flavourful steak. Loved it. I also tasted the Colorado rack... More

I went to Rush for my husbands birthday. The decor is beautiful with a great wine list. Lobster pot pie is very tomatoey. Scalloped potatoes are good. Red velvet cake is not so good. Very bland and doughy. I will try them again. Might be just an off night.
