Description: Chef's Table is an award-winning, upscale 40-seat restaurant residing at Kensington Riverside Inn.Chef's Table, under the direction of the talented Chef de Cuisine Chris Barton, has garnered a loyal following, fantastic reviews and several awards, including the coveted Four-Diamond AAA rating, Best Hotel Dining by Where Magazine for 3 consecutive years including 2011, as well as a Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence. From warmth to wine, enjoy soul-repairing cuisine.Come join Chef de Cuisine Chris Barton and his talented team in their open-kitchen and get caught up in their excitement as they bring a modernist approach to classical French dishes, reworking them playfully while keeping their original integrity. Passion fruit replaces tomatoes in a twist on traditional prawn cocktail, while mulled wine is transformed into gel to accompany a game hen, and our crème brulee is deconstructed and artfully presented. A culinary experience to remember, Chef's Table's patrons can enjoy the five-course tasting menus or order à la carte. Wine selections specialize in smaller eclectic producers that pair up brilliantly with Chef selections, and service is unmatched.A sumptuous, warm décor—with dark brown Italian leather Poltrona Frau chairs, white Frette linen tablecloths, contemporary art and rich estate-grey walls trimmed with elegance—invites diners to relax and enjoy.Whether you're staying with us at the Inn, or simply dropping by, Chef's Table pursues perfection in food and service, considering all the details to provide the ultimate dining experience.

We both ordered a la carte fish - two types. Expensive, dry and overcooked. Did not taste overly fresh. We live in the area of this restaurant and were excited to try it. Disappointing. Service was fine.

We loved the presentations and the innovative cuisine. Small but delightful selection of entrees a la carte. Chef's Dinner also available with or without wine flights

Three of us went to the restaurant and we were all very disappointed in the meal. The fish was overcooked to the point of being rubbery and only sprinkled with sesame seeds for seasoning leaving it bland as well, starter was tasteless. Best course was dessert and it was only passable in fact two of us could find nothing on... More

We stayed at the Kensington Riverside Inn, and had dinner at Chef's Table in addition to the breakfasts that were included in our stay. Dinner was fantastic. The dining room is small and intimate, and we were able to sit near the open kitchen and watch the chef at work, which my husband loves. The meal was excellent, including the... More

We had been to the Chef's Table a few months back but we were not able to try the tasting menu as one of our party wasn't particularly adventurous. So when we went back with a different couple it was an easy sell. Six courses (including the amuse bouche) and all were good. The cured albacore tuna and the asparagus... More

We were celebrating my wife's 65th birthday. I had asked for and they provided at beautiful longstem rose that was at the table when we arrived. My wife was impressed. My wife had the halibut and said it was excellent. I had the lamb. It was fatty and tough, very disappointing. The service was excellent. The wine, as is increasingly... More

We had heard from various people that this was a great place to dine and yes, we knew it was going to be expensive, but when the food and service don't warrant the price it was a bust! We had the Chef's Tasting menu and two of our table of four opted for the premium wine pairing. The food was... More

I took my wife and kids to the Chef's Table for Mother's Day brunch yesterday. I read the reviews and everything was positive, I guess I should of did more research. We where seated promptly and had our drink orders taken fairly quick. The menu had only 4 main items on it. My wife and I had the Eggs Benedict... More

This is one of the better meals I've had in some time. The dishes bring together a mix of expected and unexpected ingredients with great skill. The combination of flavors for my app and entree were quite extraordinary and delightful. Within the last month I have eaten at a 2 star Michelin restaurant. The creations there were more exotic, more... More
