Lovely dining

First time at Chef's table. The service was exceptional and the food well executed. Started with an amuse bouche of puree celery root with truffle oil. It was a lovely way to wake up the palette. For appies, we had the froie gras, gnocchi and frogs leg. The froie gras was nice and rich, but... read more

Friendly professional service. Imaginative dishes with some very novel ideas, warm caviar and monkfish with a hint of curry, superb. Very good house wines by the glass.

One for the best brunches I have ever had. Not only is the food great but the presentation is worth the price of admittance.

Had a work function here, which was lovely. The food was great, but it was extremely hot in both the lobby and the dining room, to the point of being uncomfortable

My wife and I ate here for a casual date. Service was fantastic, very personal. Nice atmosphere as well. Really like the venue. Food was well played and creative, but we thought the flavours should have been richer/fuller (we had the elk and lamb). Overall a gem for the neighbourhood though.

We both ordered a la carte fish - two types. Expensive, dry and overcooked. Did not taste overly fresh. We live in the area of this restaurant and were excited to try it. Disappointing. Service was fine.

We loved the presentations and the innovative cuisine. Small but delightful selection of entrees a la carte. Chef's Dinner also available with or without wine flights

Three of us went to the restaurant and we were all very disappointed in the meal. The fish was overcooked to the point of being rubbery and only sprinkled with sesame seeds for seasoning leaving it bland as well, starter was tasteless. Best course was dessert and it was only passable in fact two of us could find nothing on... More

We stayed at the Kensington Riverside Inn, and had dinner at Chef's Table in addition to the breakfasts that were included in our stay. Dinner was fantastic. The dining room is small and intimate, and we were able to sit near the open kitchen and watch the chef at work, which my husband loves. The meal was excellent, including the... More

We had been to the Chef's Table a few months back but we were not able to try the tasting menu as one of our party wasn't particularly adventurous. So when we went back with a different couple it was an easy sell. Six courses (including the amuse bouche) and all were good. The cured albacore tuna and the asparagus... More
