On our way through Inglewood, our cab driver mentioned that this was one of the oldest saloons in Calgary. We drove 20 minutes from our hotel back into Inglewood to check it out with our relatives that are originally from Texas as we thought they would appreciate a dining experience to remind them of home. The service was extremely slow.... More

We reserved here to see Ridley Bent in concert. The seating was really good. We had dinner here, the menu had great choices, and the food was tasty, portions nice, and service well done. Lots of bar choices, but the wine menu was a bit limited.

We have been here twice, both times for jazz performances and some pizza/pasta dinner. Cozy atmosphere, dark interior, very warm because the kitchen cooking the pizzas opens out into the audience and performing space. It is in an old building, re-purposed. Alcoholic drinks and beverages are available at the bar.

With a varying menu and great chef the food is always excellent. At night your are always guaranteed a good show.

We were at the Ironwood to watch our daughter's Jazz Ensemble perform. What an enjoyable venue, good sound and fun atmosphere. We had excellent, if not outstanding service for a place that was at 100% capacity. Food was wonderful. The chicken dish (chicken Tosscina ??) was totally awesome, best dish I've enjoyed in a very long time. Lots of fun... More

I am pleased to see this old theatre used. There seems to be some sort of performance every night! I especially love the Big Band types of shows! I can walk to it, too...

The Ironwood has always had a menu and food that is far above what you might expect for a bar/pub/music venue. The service is pretty amazing too, considering that the place is often packed to the rafters.

Lamb loaf, risotto with seafood, and jambalaya - not your average pub fare. The dishes were tasty, well presented and service was great. Hearing Valdy perform for more than 2 hours was a walk down memory lane. The three of us had a similar evening 25 years ago. I don't remember the meal from the last time but I sure... More

The music was enjoyable, the cover was high - hope it went to the musicians but the food was expensive and awful. Rice uncooked and rubbery prawns. I guess if you must eat here, stick to burgers and fries.

I've very rarely been OFFENDED by service in Calgary. But this place offered BUCKETS of offensive service. apparantly you're not allowed to talk here when there's music on! That's right!..."shooshed at a bar in inglewood!" I've been to bars in NY city that make a name off of shouting obscenities to patrons, maybe Ironwood is trying to capitalize off of... More
