Elegance in the wilderness.

Fine food, fantastic service (without being too pretentious) and an endless wine list makes for one memorable evening. Stroll the grounds after dinner along the riverfront.

We stayed 3 nights with friends at the Post Hotel & Spa and we were so happy we did. The quaint boutique hotel was stunning. Great room, great restaurant and a cozy bar. The grounds and furnishing were beautiful. The staff made us feel at home. Outstanding wine collection. Good location to Lake Louise and Banff. It's a beautiful place!

Relais and Chateau properties are indicative of higher quality accommodations and the Post House Hotel here does not disappoint. The service is excellent and the decor most inviting. We had a king-bed suite on the the "preferred side" and it was wonderful. It had an entirely separate sitting room with fireplace and an enormous, well furnished bathroom. The hotel is... More

After a long day starting at Edmonton and through Rocky Mountains and arriving late at Lake Louise, we wanted good dinner . Apart from under dress with ski and puffy jackets where all diners came in suits and ties, as they have a dress code there. we were given tables. Food was excellent. Bison tenderloin , veal tenderloin and lobster... More

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting right next to the Pipestone River. I would definitely recommend getting a hotel room facing the river. Great place to relax. We had a meal of Chateaubriand in their dining room which was excellent. The only downside was that we came here in June during a very hot spell and there is... More

The food and service are superior. One of the best meals on our trip but also the most expensive. We did not have a reservation but were able to be seated within the hour on a Friday night.

I don't know about the accommodations (we stayed across the street at the Lake Louise Inn) but the restaurant was easily the finest we experienced on our vacation to the Canadian Rockies. Executive Chef Hans Sauter has put together a remarkable dinner menu with everything from Atlantic lobster to Pacific salmon and Alaskan crab legs. In between are lamb, rabbit,... More

Love the rustic-yet-sophistocated atmosphere. Great view of the river. Staff really works to please and does a great job. Best restaurant in Lake Louise for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Great location in the village about 1.5 miles to lake Louise. The Hotel offers excellent dinning and a wine cellar to die for...worth the few extra dollars for a good meal...walk to village stores and other eateries.

There is a dress code. You need not read any further if you can't go to dinner without your Bermuda shorts. No more need be said for this fine dining establishment. We first stayed at the Post Hotel in 1986, when Lake Louise was still a sleepy little village at the base of the mountain that holds the lake and... More
