We ate at this restaurant last night and were very disappointed. We had a reservation but it still took over 20 minutes to be seated. We then waited a good ten minutes before the waitress even came over. The food did not meet expectations. The soup was supposed to be a squash and red pepper soup but there was corn,... More

We came to the restaurant after been recommended by our hotel receptionist, and we are so glad we listened to her! Thanks to the advice from another reviewer here on Tripadvisor we ordered the garlic shrimp - it is a MUST. The service was extremely pleasant, professional and welcoming. We enjoyed every moment. No doubt this is the best restaurant... More

The food was creative and very good. Their strawberry rhubarb pie was about the best I have ever had and I am a pie "snob"! We came in with a party of 10 weary travelers and the staff did a fine job accommodating us.

The ambience of this former station has been maintained by way of relics, photos, paintings, furnishings and a three old CP dining and sleeping cars. The menu is moderately priced (for the Banff area) and offers a fair sampling of cuisine, including vegetarian selections. We found the food to be good, but not especially so. The server was very good... More

Had the pleasure of attending a private function in this character filled location. Loved the trains thundering by, Our food was excellent. I had the ginger sweet potato soup, bison ribs and delicious strawberries Romanov. Service was excellent and the particular attentiveness of the young Australian server to my 90 year old Mom was beyond expectation. The manager asked several... More

We made reservations and were seated immediately . Other people who did not have reservations were turned away.We started our meal with the chili garlic shrimp appetizer. This was so delicious. Once the shrimp were eaten, we used the sauce to sop up our bread. It was to die for! I had a vegetarian lasagna filled with squash, zucchini, eggplant,... More

I have been here twice now for a drink (did not eat the food) and it is a great place to sit and have a drink. You can walk around the station and look at the historical photos of the CPR through the rockies. You can also sit on their patio and watch the trains go by.

The food and service were excellent with a good value table d'hote. You also get to see the trains and some old carriages.

We visited here for lunch on our one wet day of the trip. We had got quite wet at Moraine Lake and were looking for somewhere warm and dry to dry out again while eating lunch. We spontaneously turned in here as my friend from Calgary had heard about the restaurant and wanted to try it. We had to wait... More

What a great find. Was having a bad day at Deer Lodge so went in search of somewhere for an evening meal, the Station was the perfect setting with a unique atmosphere, eating a superb meal with trains thundering past outside. Lucky for the big kids among us a train stopped and gave us the chance to step up in... More
