Great Ambience, service and food

Really nice decor, true to the train station theme. Loved the big chairs. The food was good, I enjoyed the Salmon with Dijon and the house salad was fresh and unique with fresh pineapple, berries and lemon poppyseed dressing. Vegetarian options are available (quite a selection). Prices are a bit... read more

We came last year and enjoyed our meal, so we came back this year to se if it was as good. The meal and service were second to none again, our thanks to the Station Restaurant for an exhalent end to a not very good day.

We heard about this restaurant on a boat ride in Banff where a member of the crew explained that her great grandfather had been the station master of the now defunct railroad station. We had a difficult time locating the restaurant but it was worth the search. The building is beautiful and lovingly restored. Two old parlor cars that are... More

Came here for a nice evening dinner with my girlfriend to cap off the end of an adventurous day... Boy was it a disappointment! She had the duck, and I ordered the pork ribs. The duck was below average in taste and we weren't sure if that was actually duck or another piece of fowl. My pork ribs were under... More

This was such a wonderful restaurant. We got here just as a tour bus pulled up. They were put in a separate room so we we left in peace. The building is beautiful, I couldn't look around enough. Awesome tables, and chairs and the bar was gorgeous. Our server was upset that the tour bus got there before us and... More

We were there in early September of last year, and tourist season was winding down. Some of their seasonal staff had departed, so they were short staffed. And dealing with some demanding customers. We waited a long while at the bar but with a friendly bartender making good cocktails and a view of the main room. Once we were finally... More

This restaurant is a Canadian Heritage building and offers tons of atmosphere along with really cool train memorabilia. The entrees are delicious, especially the St. Louis ribs and chicken breast stuffed with apples and dates. Service is efficient and friendly, and the entire experience was delightful from beginning to end. (As one example, a woman who wasn't a patron approached... More

This is the original station on the Canadian Pacific line which has now been turned into a museum and restaurant. An informal restaurant steeped in history. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the meals perfect and the atmosphere excellent. Before or after your meal have a look around the restaurant at the photos and trinkets from the old rail...
