Although the prices seemed high, we found the dinner excellent. The breakfasts were less special for the price. We like the homey atmosphere of a log cabin. Because we were staying at the Chalets - it was an easy choice to dine here. We definitely recommend the Bistro for dinner. Breakfast only if you don't mind the high price and... More

We can't believe the reviews herein are not all 5-star; is it possible Baker Creek has a new chef? Our first intro was at a mid-March 2014 wedding rehearsal party of about 40 with 3 options for each course; without exception we were all blown away by the quality, subtlety of flavour-blends and the presentation. We requested to meet the... More

The chef Nigel Walker is extremely funny and generous. See our review of Baker Creek Chalets. This is more than just a bistro, the food is as good as any fine restaurant in Calgary and you don't have to dress up. Then you can go skating or hiking.

We were here a year ago, and the two new chefs served a great meal---well prepared and nicely presented. This year was disappointing. The meal was average at a very high price, the fish was overcooked, and the service average. For this high-priced menu, we expected more.

We ate at the bistro one night while we stayed at Baker Creek for the weekend. Food was wonderful. The bistro featured a small but select menu featuring local products We had a wonderful rack of Alberta lamb which we shared. The bistro is well worth a visit.

Our extended family had a get-together at this resort. We had dinner at the restaurant twice. Both times, 4 out of 8 in our group were disappointed with our meals. I had the spinach salad which was one of the least expensive items on the menu, and left hungry. The second night, most of us had the chicken and pesto... More

It still brings a smile to my face when I remember sipping the margarita I ordered our first visit to Baker Creek Bistro. We sat in the bar area to order our early dinner, loved the ambiance. Our server was a young lady eager to please. The others ordered a glass of wine, but I really wanted a margarita -... More
