I can't remember what the menu said, but they have fries with melted cheese curd, loaded with duck confit then covered in maple jus... Its like you die and go to heaven with every bite. Have a Banff coffee too... Smiles all around... I wonderful little bistro in the woods. I will probably stay here next time just to be... More

This restaurant is about a 15 minute drive from Lake Louise south on the Bow Valley Parkway, but certainly worth the drive. The location is remote, in a good way, and the food and ambiance are exceptional. We actually went twice - it was that good. The wild boar chop and rabbit were excellent - but the tamer fare is... Nigel Walker and his staff created the most delicious meal for us on New Year's Eve! The oven roasted halibut with beet broth moat was simply divine. My braised chicken was so full of flavour. The portions were perfect. Wonderful with the wine pairings. Hope to return soon, for the spring menu and a bit of spring skiing. Thanks Baker... More

Good service and good food but somewhat pricey. Tables too close together and heating turned up way too high..

We stayed in the Lounge for dinner. My wife decided on "Wild Boar Pork Chop" and I went for "Beer Braised Bison Short Ribs". This tender succulent meat falls off the bone. Every bite just melts in your mouth. And that pint of "Grumpy Bear Honey Wheat" was going down so smoothly. And, of course, Kelsie. She was very friendly,... More

The only food around --- but the beer is excellent from the local Grizzly Paw brewery AND the pizza is so great! The crust is light and thin like the pizza made in Italy. The prices are fair, but reasonable for the Lake Louise/Banff area. Stop in if you are hungry!

We stopped here for lunch while checking out Banff National Park. They have a good menu and the service and food is great. We opted to sit outside and were visited by a cute chipmunk checking out what others might have left behind. There were some interesting characters, a group of bikers dining at the same time as us who... More

My husband and I first visited Baker Creek Bistro 4 years ago and had a very memorable meal there so were looking forward to our return. Once again, we were not disappointed. My husband had the steak for his main and mixed berry pie for dessert. I tried the beer braised buffalo ribs and had pumpkin pie cheesecake for dessert.... More

Thanksgiving Sunday dinner had a special menu of either turkey or ginger-glazed ham. Starter of pumpkin soup or salad. Pumpkin cheese cake or apple pie for dessert - all for an outstanding price of $35. The salad and soup were awesome! The turkey and ham were both outstanding. Dessert was delish. Service was excellent. The setting in the midst of... More

Stopped there for lunch today. Given it is mid October activity in the area is winding down so there were only 4 tables occupied for lunch. Still, they seemed to have their hands full to serve everyone promptly. Overhead apologies at one table for a late pizza order. We only had 2 soup and nachos and yet the nachos took... More
