We had Thanksgiving dinner 2014 here at the Walliser Stube. It is an incredible experience. My 17 year old ordered this bison "fondue" and actually was able to cook his own meat at the table by dipping it into a boiling broth fondue pot! Quite an experience. The traditional Fondue was excellent as well. My 15 year old ordered the... More

The food is just amazing. It's a Swiss/German kitchen with a twist. Order the SCHNITZEL. They offer draft Grolsch which I find somewhat rare, though unusual considering its Dutch. Nevertheless only offered at Walliser Stube. Make a reservation. Don't sit next to the heater, the rattling will strongly bother you. I had to switch table. Downside: Though the staff is... More

We visited here on a quiet Monday night in early November, arguably a slow time of the year, but the kitchen and waitstaff was nonetheless in their best game. We shared the spaetzle skillet appetizer which was very tasty, and were apparently the first to try a new menu item, the Alberta pork chop. This dish was exquisitely prepared and... More

This is an excellent restaurant in an excellent location. We had to book here because all the restaurants in the Lake Louise hotels are very popular, though rather strangely they close quite early too. We visited the Fairmont Lake Louise as part of our honeymoon trip and we certainly weren't disappointed. The views are just amazing of the Lake Louise... More

Great atmosphere and very attentive service. I had cheese fondue and wife had Wiener schnitzel . It was excellent. The fondue is very filling. We ordered too much food. Did not leave room for dessert. Nice change of cuisine. Great job.

We stayed here one night so we could say we'd been to the Chateau Lake Louise. I'd saved an article from Oprah Magazine years ago about this restaurant and knew I wanted to eat here...and have a beer and fondue. I wasn't disappointed. We had draft beer, cheese fondue, beef fondue and for dessert chocolate fondue!!! The service was great,... More

This was a very good dinner. Couldn't make it a 5 as it wasn't one the best meals I've ever had, but the service was outstanding. As with anything at Lake Louise; it is going to be pricy, but everything is at LL. I had the Bison Tenderloin and Bison Shoulder and would recommend it.

I love cheese fondue but don't allow myself to have it very often. Loved the traditional cheese fondue here. My husband had a great piece of lamb. Casual and comfortable. Would like to try to fondue experience (cheese fondue, meat fondue, chocolate fondue) but suspect I couldn't eat it all! The apple strudel was wonderful, and accompanied by not only... More

In early September as we tried out the various fine dining choices at Chateau Lake Louise--this was out first place to try!! Wallister Stube gives you the feel of a mountain retreat as you walk past giant mounted moose heads in the hallway--and enter a pleasant somewhat secluded dining area with huge tall windows and various mounted antlers and a...
