Evening Meal for One

I ate here for my evening meal, I must say 'Top Class' Swiss Cuisine. I had Onion soup (cheese on top was heavy), extremely flavoursome, then I finished my meal with Zurich Style Veal - sensational. I think I had one of the best views from my table! I highly recommend for intimate or group... read more

We were staying at the Deer Lodge next door to the Fairmont Chateau and had planned on eating at one of the restaurants for dinner. Although the seats nearest the window are reserved for those with reservations or hotel guests, the host gave us a seat with a partial window view. He took our full name and our server used... More

The service was okay at best. We ordered the fondue and didn't enjoy it at all. It took a long time to get our drinks and our bill.

It was hard to think about the food when the view out the windows was so amazing. But the food was definitely good. We didn't have fondue -- which is the house specialty -- but we did have a great salad and cheesy spaetzle to start and two terrific veal dishes for our mains. The veal with mushroom sauce was... We had a good meal at the Walliser Stube while staying at the Fairmont Lake Louise. The service was below average as our waitress started the evening by asking us if we were ready to order - that was about the first thing she said to us. There was no greeting and explanation of the menu as offered by the... More

Only go here if you want fondue. We did not, so ordered the fish. It is big enough to split. The fish was OK, but very expensive. We requested a lake view table, and had even come by earlier to try to secure one. No luck. I cannot recommend this restaurant for the price.

The Walliser Stube is one of the restaurants in the Chateau Lake Louise. We dined there and had the Chateau Experience for four. To describe it as dinner is an understatement. It is a feast, and one of the finest feast that we've ever eaten. The only thing better than the food is the view of Lake Louise.

Excellent wait staff and food. We had the 3 course fondue with cheese, beef tenderloin and dessert. All were top notch. I highly recommend having dinner at the Walliser Stube.
