Cheese! Meat! Cocktails!

We went for "The Experience": cheese fondue, chateaubriand and chocolate fondue. Waaaaay too much food for 2 people but oh so delicious. Next time I would probably choose one or the other - fondue or steak. Both were excellent; the truffle topping on the cheese was divine, we had many dipping... read more

The décor and menu are definitely German and both include gems. The views of Lake Louise through the windows of one of the rooms are spectacular, but we were there on an extremely hot and sunny evening and there's no air conditioning. We sat there as long as we could and then asked to be moved to a different room... More

My 16 year old decided that on the last night of our holiday, we should try the Chateau Experience.....I think that is what is was called. Arrived at the restaurant and were lucky enough to be shown to a table for two overlooking the lake.....amazing view. If you do book this restaurant, request a lake view table, otherwise you may... We had dinner at the Walliser upon our arrival and we were very disappointed. My steak appeared to be pre-cooked and it was cold. The only item that was hot was the mashed potatoes and they tasted like they were instant. The service was excellent and JR saved the evening.

We both got the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent. The only complaint I had was We didn't have a window table and I was facing a wall instead of the lake. The food was delicious.

We arrived in the evening of a very busy Sunday at Chateau Lake Louise and were lucky to get a late reservation at the Walliser Stube. What a beautiful restaurant with those always stunning views of Lake Louise. My husband fell in love with the bartender. They are both Martini purists (don't use the vodka word!) and he served my... We went for the view and a fondue. Great fondue no view. The hostess gave us some line about first come for the view tables. I say 'some line' because when a couple came after us they got the table for 4 with a view. We felt lied to and we were very disappointed. We don't mind rules however when... More

simply said: expensive dining, very attentive Service, great Food, decent selection of wines. I hate cheese-fondues and originally did not want to go here - luckily I changed my mind. They have many good alternatives for the cheese-fondue-haters out there!
