The restaurant has friendly helpful staff and the most amazing fondue meal ever. Our meal started with cheese fondue with truffle and pieces of chunky bread, then a choice of Bison or beef and steamed veges. Absolutely yum, then Chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows. I say to everyone have this and you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is pricy, but worth it. The service is excellent and the quality of the food is very high. Despite the fact that we were staying at the hotel at the height of the holiday season, we were served promptly and attentively. We had a great evening.

This was the second time we have eaten here while staying at the Chateau. The previous occasion was about two years ago and the experience was about the same. A great concept, but the execution needs work. After my sister, her daughter, my wife and I were seated for our reservation, we sat for about 15 minutes waiting for someone... More

I am very allergic to seafood and allergic to pork and was dying to eat a cheese fondue. They could have said "sorry, no can do" but the waiter and the chef were SUPER and even used the bread they were sure hadn't come from any of the other restaurants. Very, very caring and special.

We came for the fondue and other than that ate a soup and salad. It was all good, but all pretty simple dishes as well. Good beer and wine selection. Lots of Canadian wine on the menu which was nice to see. The service was great, our server was very helpful with our food and drink selection.

We dined here over the Christmas Break, and found it to be only average at best, the staff are excellent and very helpful , however the menu is very shallow and could do with a refresh. The prices are way over the top and the wines are just crazy, a bottle of Australian wine "Oxford Landing" at CAD45 is to... More

We had Thanksgiving dinner 2014 here at the Walliser Stube. It is an incredible experience. My 17 year old ordered this bison "fondue" and actually was able to cook his own meat at the table by dipping it into a boiling broth fondue pot! Quite an experience. The traditional Fondue was excellent as well. My 15 year old ordered the... More

The food is just amazing. It's a Swiss/German kitchen with a twist. Order the SCHNITZEL. They offer draft Grolsch which I find somewhat rare, though unusual considering its Dutch. Nevertheless only offered at Walliser Stube. Make a reservation. Don't sit next to the heater, the rattling will strongly bother you. I had to switch table. Downside: Though the staff is... More

We visited here on a quiet Monday night in early November, arguably a slow time of the year, but the kitchen and waitstaff was nonetheless in their best game. We shared the spaetzle skillet appetizer which was very tasty, and were apparently the first to try a new menu item, the Alberta pork chop. This dish was exquisitely prepared and... More
