Re Visit...the spectacular lake

We visited the lake early 0530 am and it was beautiful, sunrise was on and off and we captured the beauty of nature. Staying at the lodge, we made reservations to eat here for dinner. Unfortunately we were off to a bad start by having to wait 10 mins to be seated, despite several tables lying empty. One waitress even managed to set the bread basket on fire by placing it next to the candle! Thankfully the food & surroundings made up for... More

A fine dining spot that's worth the price because the food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the setting is spectacular. Treated friends from abroad and all agreed they had an awesome experience. The bar even got my friend's foreign cocktail request spot on. **Only one minor disappointment: steelhead salmon tasted great but the portion was tiny.**

While staying here, we decided to eat at the lodge restaurant. Upon arriving, I saw a mouse scurrying along the floor. I was petrified and the wait staff thought it was a cute little deer mouse and did nothing to get rid of it! While eating, I kept my feet moving to prevent any nibbling. The butters for the bread... We stayed in a cabin at the Lodge. Very well appointed! Stunning lake views, quiet, fireplace (with everything you need set up and waiting for you, including the matches)' excellent beds and linens, lovely little balcony for two and an enormous resident crow that is so big he can hardly fly! The Lodge is expensive, but so worth it. Just... More

We enjoyed an excellent meal of beef and fish at the restaurant in Moraine Lake Lodge. Also had a good wine, although many of the wine options were considerably more than we planned to spend. The room is large and well lit and provides an inviting atmosphere. The cost was high, but in line with quality dining restaurants elsewhere.

We were lucky to get up to the lake before the crowds hit! We were also lucky to be the first ones served hamburgers cooked on the grill on the patio of the cafe! They were tasty and such a great treat after eating packaged sandwiches for the past few days! They also were a bargain at $12.00 for the... More

We got to Moraine lake early (day visitor) to avoid the nightmare of parking. After walking to the Rockpile we decided to breakfast at the lodge prior to walking in the area. The restaurant is log cabin cosy with a roaring fire but windows around to enjoy the view. Between us we ate fruit, bacon, sausage, pancakes, granola/yoghurt, muffin and... More

We stayed two nights in the main lodge with a great view of Moraine Lake. We loved the lake, the hiking trails, and the food in the main dining room. It was unseasonably cool when we were there so we made good use of the fireplace in the room. The staff had already laid out the fire and opened the... More

The restaurant itself is very elegant. It has a front view of the lake and mountain. The waiters were very nice to us..and took great care of us. The food was excellent and very very fresh. It's a kind of pricy restaurant but by going there you'll see that it's worth the pain
