We had a large party and we were one of only a couple of parties in the dining room. We received decent service. We saw a martin or similar outside the window while sitting at our table. Food was good and wine recommendations were well received. Caribou drew the most positive reviews although one of the medium rare orders was... More

In September my husband and I stayed at the Deer Lodge, so we decided to have dinner at the Restaurant. It was a very enjoyable meal. I had fish and chips served with salad and a cute little glass jar of ketchup. My husband had a Bison Burger, it was huge and very tasty. The environment was relaxing with great... More

We dined here for breakfast and the food was delicious! Fresh fruits and tasty pancakes with maple syrup :-) The Lodge is located about a 5 minute walk from the Chateau

Got up before dawn and travelled the Bow Valley Parkway and saw our first bear, by 930 we were starving to at the Lake Louise end we stopped off for breakfast at Deer Lodge. Lovely and warm inside on a cold morning. A good filling breakfast of everything hot, with lots of toast and coffee. It was excellent. Served by... More

Eat here, but stay elsewhere. Great food, and polar opposite from the level of rooms at this hotel. The restaurant serves superb food and at much more reasonable prices than the neighboring Lake Louise Chateau.

Enjoyed a great meal with friends. Service was excellent and the cosy atmosphere enjoyable. The snowfall in summer made for a great evening.

Right beside the Chateau Lake Louise, it's convenient to day hikes around the lake and it's cheap. The room was clean, and very basic. There's an old claw-foot bathtub with an unwieldly shower attachment; good luck with that! Walls are thin so any noise in the hallway is likely to disturb you. The log cabin bar/restaurant has a nice atmosphere;... More

We had a large corner room with a twin and a single bed in this historic lodge. As in all of the old lodges built for railroad tourists 100 years ago, expect to climb stairs and not have a TV. We did have internet access. It was fun to sit by the fire in the evening and admire the Tiffany... More

The meal was average quality but the burger had a delicious Maple sauce on it but when we ask Chef the recipe he declined saying he mixed two bottles together and wasn't going to tell the quantity. Really get a life!!

Out salads were less than wonderful but the two main courses more than made up for the initial transgressions. We enjoyed the fish and the chicken/ The service could have been better but it was good enough.
