We went for lunch one day and liked it so much we had to try it for dinner! I tried the caribou and it was AMAZING!! Loved the atmosphere, very lodgy and exactly what I think about when I think of the Rockies.

Fantastic dinner, comfortable upscale rustic ambience, great service. You might miss it driving by, but you'd miss out on a great dinner.

Food was really good, but the menu does not really have a good hearty meal for apres ski. Very poor lighting

I was in Calgary on business and decided to extend my visit through the weekend in Lake Louise. I arrive on the evening of opening day of the hotel and restaurant. The meal, service and ambiance were great. I had and would recommend the sweet potato soup and caribou. The caribou was lean and the accompany of vegetables were fresh.

Staying in Lake Louise, we wanted somewhere other than the obvious. An initial froideur when we were told we couldn't have pre dinner drinks in the bar (despite others enjoying theirs) was followed by undiluted attention and a well served dinner.

Not as crowded as the beautiful Fairview, but in easy walking distance to check out the competition. Nice selections of game and local foods to choose from for supper. Breakfast was not special but $20-30 a head. Not worth it unless you are a big eater.

Although a beautiful rustic setting, we were disappointed that items on the brunch buffet were scarcely warm. Lots of variety but cold eggs kind of ruin it for me, especially at the price.

There is an excellent food selection in the Caribou Lounge (same as the main restaurant). Although quite pricey, it is well-prepared and of high quality. Red snapper, blueberry strudel and chocolate mousse are highly recommended.

The decor matches that of the building, and the outside surroundings. Rustic, mountain setting. Cuisine featured mountain specialty, quite fitting for visitors who want this type of experience. Wine list is adequate, with reasonable prices. I am happy to eat here rather than going down the hill to the village, or walking over to the Chateau.

Food was prepared well. Menu is pretty limited, but is tasty. It was a bit overpriced for what you got. A better choice would be someplace at the Chateau. We've never been disappointed at any of the Chateau's restaurants.
