DDs 5&7 and I ate there after a day of skiing and we just wandered into the restaurant by accident not realizing that it was a five diamond. We were definitely under dressed for the occasion but the wonderful lady seated us anyways. The food was excellent and decently priced for the portions that you get. Our server, Jordan, was... More

We enjoyed dinner here 2 nights during our stay, the first night we ordered from the menu and had such a wonderful experience we asked about a chefs tasting the next night for a special birthday dinner. Chef John Lance and his team produced an incredible 7 course meal, all locally sourced. The sommelier Seamus paired each course perfectly and... More

There are lower cost options but if you travel all the way to LL, stay at the magnificent Fairmont - you just have to have a meal at the Dining Room - we chose afternoon tea (and didn't then need dinner) and it was just superb - sensational sandwiches, luscious cakes and unique tea - with great service (and yet... - The waiting staff couldn't explain what was in the dishes. They just put the food down and walked away. - The amuse-bouche was a cold soup in a small glass. One of us only got a half glass, while mine was filled to the brim. Shouldn't the waitress notice the "fill-level" was different? - Seared foie gras was completely... More

Even though we were staying at the Post Hotel, we couldn't resist having the prix fixe dinner at the Fairview Dining Room of the Fairmont so we could enjoy another late afternoon-early evening view of Lake Louise. The food at the Fairview was quite good, especially the Quebec Foie Gras Duo appetizer. The venison was not as good as I... More

Room service was better. The waitress upon first encounter did not make eye contact with our teenaged son, so he left dinner feeling insulted. Our food was adequate, nothing memorable however for the cost.

We ate dinner there during a five day stay at the Fairmont. The food was amazing, I had the best elk ever there, downside was the ambience and the temperature of the room was too high. The dining room feels really big and almost dining hall like, which takes away from the dining experience. The food however is outstanding the... More

We had dinner at the Fairmont room during our stay while Ice Magic was being held. Couldn't get a reservation until 8:30, a busy place. A wedding next door to the dining room increased the noise a bit, not too distracting. Tried some different cocktails from the menu, should have stuck to our favorites, just not our flavor. Meals were... More

Service was excellent but the food was just OK. The appetizer short ribs was served in less than room temperature. If you are looking for a good high end restaurant, visit the Post Hotel restaurant.
