In the morning Poppy is the restaurant in the hotel serving breakfast, and although you can order a la carte, it makes more sense to take the buffet as the regular menu is very expensive and by the time you add in juice and coffee, you will have paid for the buffet anyway. There was a great selection of foods,... More

I enjoyed this brunch more than the afternoon tea service @ the hotel. We all had filling breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with a good service. Yes, the view is not the best, I agree, but we are not here to enjoy the view like rooms upstairs. If they can open the shade in the morning, it is sufficient. All... More

it does not get any better. Unfortunatly it is very busy and crowded , but that only attests to its Popularity and known Charm.

At breakfast we waited 40 minutes for someone to take out order. At lunch, our sandwiches were something I'd expect to get at a roadside diner.

The food was just average and the server was so-so. Biggest disappointment was not being able to have breakfast out in the patio to enjoy the view.

We had one night at lake Louise during our recent trip to Canada. The hotel is amazing so no complaints there, however due to it's location most people eat at the restaurant. We opted for poppy brassiere. Gluten free options were limited and probably the most limited choice in all the places we ate out in in Canada. Everyone else... More

Wait staff were very caring and prompt, the view obviously very good. The food was at best average, paying 5-star prices for 1/2-1-star food. Not what one expects from a Fairmont Hotel and certainly not at Lake Louise. The "dining experience" as a whole at Chateau Lake Louise requires a complete overhaul.

The breakfast buffet was big and there was enough choices for everyone's taste. The silver service teapots were a nice touch and the staff friendly. Dinner was not the standard I expected and rated poorly in my opinion.

I had the beef tip sandwich with au jus, the best I've had. Peggy had a hot ham and Swiss cheese sandwich, which she said also was very good. Jeremy was very helpful. We had a late dinner, 8:30 on Wednesday night, so it was not at all crowded and service was not an issue.

A very poorly managed breakfast restaurant that can't manage the hoards of people queued outside. One complete empty servery when we visited.
