Cheap and Cheerful in Lake Louise

Had dinner and breakfast here while staying in Lake Louise Inn. Attached to hostel but open to all. Dinner and drinks was very good and great value compared to other places in the area. Breakfast didn't go quite as well. There were problems which staff put down to faults with the cookers but we... read more

Real wood decor sets a vibrant cabin atmosphere. Food is very reasonably priced, especially considering the region. The smoked salmon fettuccine was deliciously creamy, the fish was flavorful and the pasta was made perfectly. It's also nice to get a small appetizer and desert for its price. The burger was thoroughly overcooked but that seems to be the standard in... More

Simple, hearty food and good beer served with cheerful efficiency. A lovely place to have a quick dinner after hiking. We appreciated the variety of salads and the delicious poutine. They did seem to be out of a few menu items.

Six of us went for dinner. The service was just average. The setting was very noisy. The food was average at best. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere - you will be happy you did.

Great food, good price, not fancy, no reservations. Would definitely go again. Lots of vegetarian options.

We read in one of our guide books about Bill Peyto’s – and that it is in the hostel. We found it and went twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both times we were happy with the service and the food. The ambiance is definitely hostel – heavy wooden tables and chairs. So a simple place with good,... More

My title says it all. We were two days in Lake Louise and had practically every meal here. Pricing was good, food and service were excellent. A nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We ended up eating here twice for dinner during our visit to Lake Louise and loved it. Probably some of the best food in the area with prices that are reasonable compared to other options of similar quality (nothing in Lake Louise can be considered cheap). While the menu is a bit eclectic, with everything from pastas (which were all... More

My wife and I went there for breakfast. First ones there so got right in. Had omelette (came with hash browns and toast) and pancakes. Big servings. Easy in and out for us.

We stopped here for lunch on a day when the other restaurants were overrun with bus loads of tourists. We found easy parking, and there were only 3 other tables occupied. The hostel it is located in looked very clean and modern. The food was not high priced, as most other places in these resort areas. The chili was excellent... More
