Good and simple

Spending a few nights at the HI hostel, even though I was mostly self-catering, I decided to give the restaurant a shot after a long hike. I was too tired and lazy to cook for myself that night, so I went for the path of least resistance. Based on Lake Louise standards, the menu prices seemed... read more

Came here in March on the recommendation of a friend. She was certainly right that this is THE place to eat in Lake Louise. Food was great as was the service. The staff were very friendly but also efficient.Hot and filling food after a day on the mountain. Excellent value too in a place where everything is overpriced. Will definitely... More

Varied menu, well presented plate, good portions, good flavour, decent range of drinks, nice staff and service. Hidden gem in Lake Louise.

Nice variety in the menu - everything we tried was delicious. Prices were reasonable for a touristy town like Lake Louise. Staff were friendly and helpful even when arrived within 30 mins of closing. Would gladly return.

Would you think a restaurant in a hostel would be exceptional? This one is. First, you have to find the hostel, not too hard. The restaurant has no sign on the road, just one above the entrance. Tables are simple, as is decor. There is an outdoor deck for dining, weather permitting. I had cream of broccoli soup, quite good,... More

We didn't know they were within walking distance from our hotel which was just next door, we drove there the first time. Had their Special that night which was Bison Burger. It was very well seasoned and good. Also ordered their Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake with a scoop of ice cream. Oh, so yummy! We returned the next day for... More

We had breakfast here one morning. The coffee was good and so was the eggs, toast and hash browns. This restaurant is reasonable in price too.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and value. Elk burger as the special had to be tried. Don't be put off by its association with the hostel, this was a great find, if you want good food and good prices with friendly staff.

Great food, good prices, excellent service! The restaurant is part of a hostel but anyone can go ther to eat. We liked it so much, we went back for breakfast. Can not wait to go again on our next trip to Lake Louise and Banff.

Good food with plenty of choice (inc. veggie options), great beer on tap & really affordable in this area. Even the local police eat here! We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly servers and proper pub grub plus great noodle dish
