We were probably the oldest old farts in the place, but it was just what we felt like - simple pub food, cold beer and a chat amongst friends. Young folks (probably the nomadic students with part time jobs in the village) filled the place and we certainly enjoyed their youth and vigour.

After years of being away from Banff, walking back into Tommy's was like I had never left. Even Whack was behind the bar! Steak sandwiches and onion rings and don't forget the deep fried pickles. Make sure Tommy knows it's a special occasion (could be anything really) and he'll treat you to a shot of ouzo poured in your mouth... More

We ate here again on our recent trip to Banff and just as before really enjoyed it. Lunch was really good, great beef dip, fresh and crisp salad and tasty cheesey perogies. Friendly helpful staff and good value for money. Would recommend.

We popped in for a beer and an appetizer. Cute decor; very Canadian mountain town. It was super busy but we got served in good time. The food was good and reasonable. Totally pleasant place to stop and have a beer.

We always visit Tommy's bar when in the Banff area and can count such visits as well into double figures. It is down to earth, unpretentious, friendly and what we imagine is typical of a North American bar....and they do the best burgers. Trust me. Other menu items, whilst not perhaps cordon bleu, have always been tasty and the portions... More

We chose this place on the recommendation of our concierge who said that Tommy's is where he would go. We like to go where the locals go, so made the frosty hike over from the hotel. It's an alright place, however it was full of dude-bro's, and they were working on the ladies. Food was ok, for the price I... More

Staff are very friendly. Food is great and good value. Meal sizes are a bit too big but very good. Try a Ceaser drink. It i alcoholic but you should try at least one. I will be 5 oclock sonewhere after all !

I've been going to Tommy's for years in Banff, pretty much every time I visit. It allows kids, has good food and reasonable prices. It seems to have an ongoing steak sandwich special, that is very cheap. In all the years of coming here, I've had one bad burger, which was undercooked. Other than that, service has been decent, food... More
