Amazing

I was very excited to try the The Bison as I have been to the lounge downstairs a few time and was always very curious. I was not let down. I had the short ribs and my girlfriend had the ribeye. Mouthwatering just thinking about it. It is on the expensive side but you gotta pay good money to be... read more

Sorry would not reccommned an evening meal here at all. We waited for 15 minutes downstairs before being seated, and when we did go up into the restaurant, there were plenty of tables free, and lots of staff, so i couldn't see why we had to wait. During the evening the free tables weren't ones that had been reserved. We... More

Walked into the Bison and they managed to fit us in. We had 11/2 hours to eat as they were booked up. Food and service was excellent. There were many dishes with bison on the menu plus other entrees. The menu is not extensive but service and food presentation/taste was excellent. I will go back when in the area and... More

We had supper here after a very disappointing dinner at the Bow Valley Grill at the Fairmont Banff springs hotel. There so definitely some culinary genius at work in this restaurant. The ambience is perfect, coupled with superb service and great food and wine, makes for a worthwhile dining experience. The cocktails were awesome. The starter was a bone marrow... More

I ordered a beef dish. It was a little salty and the vegetables were a little hard. Nice waitress and warm and cosy atmosphere. Good but I've had better for the price.

Had to ask kitchen staff for help upon my arrival as the hostess was not manning her post. Waitress was friendly. Sat by a window with a view of the mountain south of town, but the design of the window left a 4 inch frame and a two inch shade right in my face, so the view was limited despite... More

I went to the Bison on a Thursday night with my husband, my brother and his wife. We were greeted immediately, and there was a table available right away. Apart from myself, the other three diners are meat eaters and we chose The Bison because they had great reviews, and were serving steak (a craving of one of our group... More

We had a great experience at the Bison. Their food was excellent and the service was even better! Our server, Sushi (actually her nickname but that's what she goes by) was so knowledgable and helpful with choosing our meals. We had one member of our party who is Vegan. This at times can fluster and confuse servers. Sushi was so... More

Definately make reservations because Saturday night was busy! They start you off with these little tray buns that have been brushed with herb infused butter and they are wonderful! The service was wonderful and the food came out very quick. I think a bit too quick. I had ordered the escargot on a bone and it would have been amazing... More
