We visited for an early Sunday brunch and people were queuing to enter. Hostess was friendly and we were seated right away. For the first seating of the day we were not impressed with cleanliness of our table, the chairs had to be cleared of the prior nights remains, not what you would expect for the price point of this... Had the misfortune to get a cancellation at the entrance doorway and i wonder when the customers will wisen-up to this place does not deserve the trade it gets! we visited late September 2014 and ate upstairs. As you enter the busy restaurant you are more interested in watching where you are going, checking out the type of clientle and... More

My uncle and i were wandering around banff this past winter looking for a nice place to eat we walked into the Saltlik steakhouse and it was so busy, they had a forty minute wait so we kept walking and we found ourselves at the bison which i had walked passed more times than i could count so we decided... We had great expectation to eat at this restaurant. We took the Carmen Creek Ribeye plate @47$. and we had the mountain moose drink ( which was very nice) Don't expect the chef (Liz Gagnon) to do much substitution if your unable to eat food serve on the plate. Unable to substitute dairy products. Waitress forgot to fill our water... More

We were impressed with the Bison and glad we went. A very busy place on the weekend during peak travel, it can be a bit noisy. Traveling with a party of six, we all enjoyed our meals. The Alberta beef was a big hit, as was the Bison tenderloin. Service was good, the upstairs location nice, and was in all... More

On our trip to Banff we stopped by The Bison for dinner one night. It was a great experience, I started with the scallops and they were some of the best, the sauce they were on was a perfect match and could not get enough. I also had Alberta Beef and you really can tell the difference from US beef,... More

Bison everything! We started off with the Bison carpaccio which was delicious! The frog legs were melt in your mouth tender- cooked perfectly! The people next to us ordered the cauliflower and it looked good but we decided to forego it for the bison ravioli which actually was my favorite! Entre was the bison burger- You cannot go wrong with... More

Fantastic evening had by our whole party. Server was great, consistently attentive just the right amount. Atmosphere and lighting was a perfect mood setter. Food was great, best frog legs I have had. Entrees were flavourful, cooked perfectly, short ribs are highly recommended. Definitely would go back.

The place was full, we did not have reservations, but we were taken care of and got a table on the lovely terasse, where we enjoyed an outstanding , freshly prepared delicious meal and marvelous bottle of wine during a night with a full moon. The waiting time was maybe for certain people a little long, but this does not... More
