Delicious food, comfy surroundings. Bison ramen was really nice, although found the soy egg spoilt it slightly making it too eggy. The lamb main course was out of this world. We found the desserts over complicated and very sweet, we would've been quite happy with a simpler option of a sorbet or some ice cream

I had my first experience at the Bison in Feb 2015. The restaurant was packed so it resembled a cafeteria setting more than a fine dining establishment. It is a meat lover's heaven so if your wife/partner isn't into meat and wild game then you may want to find another place. They don't have a kids menu so I would... More

We all came to try meal with bison in it. We were not disappointed. All meals looked great and were delicious. Staff: very friendly. Over all very casual and relaxing atmosphere. Will return.

We enjoyed our meal here, however it wasn't outstanding. We had the Kung Pao Quail, which was interesting and tasty. The bison steak was very good, however one of the steaks came out cold. They quickly took it back and replaced it with another - very good service. In particular, the potato dish the steak came with was excellent! Overall,... More

I was very excited to try the The Bison as I have been to the lounge downstairs a few time and was always very curious. I was not let down. I had the short ribs and my girlfriend had the ribeye. Mouthwatering just thinking about it. It is on the expensive side but you gotta pay good money to be... More

Sorry would not reccommned an evening meal here at all. We waited for 15 minutes downstairs before being seated, and when we did go up into the restaurant, there were plenty of tables free, and lots of staff, so i couldn't see why we had to wait. During the evening the free tables weren't ones that had been reserved. We... More

Walked into the Bison and they managed to fit us in. We had 11/2 hours to eat as they were booked up. Food and service was excellent. There were many dishes with bison on the menu plus other entrees. The menu is not extensive but service and food presentation/taste was excellent. I will go back when in the area and... More

We had supper here after a very disappointing dinner at the Bow Valley Grill at the Fairmont Banff springs hotel. There so definitely some culinary genius at work in this restaurant. The ambience is perfect, coupled with superb service and great food and wine, makes for a worthwhile dining experience. The cocktails were awesome. The starter was a bone marrow... More

I ordered a beef dish. It was a little salty and the vegetables were a little hard. Nice waitress and warm and cosy atmosphere. Good but I've had better for the price.
