Very good meal

We visited this restaurant for dinner. It was busy but when we booked we noticed how they were very careful to spread the bookings so that the kitchen was not overrun all at once. It worked a treat with the service very very good. Food was excellent with the only gripe being that my duck could have... read more

We had an anniversary dinner here in December and were really impressed. So much so that we visited last week for my husband's 40th and were 100% underwhelmed. My husband's burger was so salty he couldn't eat it. The waiter didn't even ask if it was ok when he cleared our plates (obviously it wasn't ok or it wouldn't have... More

The Bison came highly recommended and in many ways it delivered. We had a great table with comfy seats and the staff were knowledgeable, attentive and very pleasant. The food was good if not great. I had a steak whilst my wife had a (rather small) vegetarian option. The dessert was also good if not great. I'd say it's quite... More

After recommended by Lonely Planet guide we booked this restaurant and yes we has a very nice meal and good service, but we've had better on our travels across Canada, but don't let that stop booking a meal.

There's lots of good food in Banff, but in a tourist town it's hard to find thoughtful service and a non-tourist atmosphere. On a business trip we wanted a more quiet evening at a place that would allow us to enjoy our food and each other's company. The servers got this, did not rush us, the place isn't loud and... More

Nothing bad to say about this place. Little patio out back. It seemed like it was mostly local people. Food was good. Would not have gone if not for the short night stopover in Banff. If you did not have an overnight there It would not be my first choice. We were satisfied and happy campers.

Best meal we had in Banff! Atmosphere was great and the food was unbeatable. Gnocchi, trout, venison, even the rolls were unforgettable. Our waitress was also top notch: very knowledgable and helpful. Overall, best restaurant experience we have had on our trip! Do yourself a favor and order the Gnocchi.

Bison is amazing. The food is absolutely out of this world and reminds me all those fancy dishes you see on the cooking shows. I can't pick a favorite dish because everything was so good. We had to come here twice during our 3 day visit... and we typically never do that in order to try other places... but Bison... More

We had dinner at The Bison in Banff, Alberta this evening. The restaurant is lovely, the service was excellent as was the food. The restaurant has an extensive wine and beer list. The menu is interesting and offers some very interesting dishes, including escargot served in a bone! We were very pleased with everything until we used the washrooms before... More
