On our trip to Banff we stopped by The Bison for dinner one night. It was a great experience, I started with the scallops and they were some of the best, the sauce they were on was a perfect match and could not get enough. I also had Alberta Beef and you really can tell the difference from US beef,... More

Bison everything! We started off with the Bison carpaccio which was delicious! The frog legs were melt in your mouth tender- cooked perfectly! The people next to us ordered the cauliflower and it looked good but we decided to forego it for the bison ravioli which actually was my favorite! Entre was the bison burger- You cannot go wrong with... More

Fantastic evening had by our whole party. Server was great, consistently attentive just the right amount. Atmosphere and lighting was a perfect mood setter. Food was great, best frog legs I have had. Entrees were flavourful, cooked perfectly, short ribs are highly recommended. Definitely would go back.

The place was full, we did not have reservations, but we were taken care of and got a table on the lovely terasse, where we enjoyed an outstanding , freshly prepared delicious meal and marvelous bottle of wine during a night with a full moon. The waiting time was maybe for certain people a little long, but this does not... More

This place was buzzing. We made the mistake of not booking in advance, but managed to get a seat at the bar. Although a little pricey, the food was amazing. We had the Bison and Venison, both cooked to perfection! Our server, one of the barstaff, was the best we had during our stay in Canada. She took lots of... More

We had great meals here and if you are looking for fresh, locally farmed meals then this is the place. Great atmosphere, staff and food. It is also attached to another restaurant that was featured on You Gotta Eat Here. The Bison is more upscale while the other is more pub style food.

We had an excellent meal here - chalk full of local wines and beer, bison, venison, local fish, etc. The service was excellent and we would definitely go back!

My sister and I ventured to the Bison for dinner on Saturday evening. As my sister is a chef she selected our meal to share. We started with the a Beet Salad and Flat Bread. Bother where fabulous. The waiter was very accommodating with her food allergies. We had the duck as our main course. It was cooked perfectly. The... More

We ate here on our first night in a Banff...had the bison ravioli and scallops appetizer, the whole roasted cauliflower, and the duck breast. Liked the food and service so much, we went back the next night for the Caesar salad and venison strip loin. Great cocktails and wine list as well. Go early for a quieter experience. Downstairs they... More
