We had lunch on the Rundle Terrace at the Banff Fairmont. Eating outdoors surrounded by mountains and flowers. The soup was excellent, as was everything we had. They do not take reservations, but we only had to wait a few minutes.

The view from the back patio is unbelievable. Drinks are expensive, but very well made. Service is excellent. And you get to imbibe the history and character of this classic old hotel, which is in fine shape. Don't miss the Fairmont!
It's difficult to review this place. The service is inconsistent depending on who you end up with. On day 1 we had an excellent lunch. The waiter was very patient with our 1 year old. They offer healthy kids' meals (we ordered salmon with veggies for our son) and kids under 5 eat free. On day 2 we went for...

Even when the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is busy with groups and dinners and conferences, this lounge is large enough to cope so we did not feel overwhelmed. The lounge menu is adequate and the food good enough for bar food and choice. Service was friendly and attentive even though they were busy. And great views too.
While staying at the Banff Springs Hotel, or even just to visit the hotel for a drink, the Rundle Lounge has great service and the views are spectacular. The drinks are good and expensive, and the food was good and seemed pretty reasonable.
This is a place for an after dinner drink or relaxing lunch. It has a very relaxed atmosphere with fantastic views if not to cold you can go outside on the terrace and take some great photos. The food is bistro food but very good definitely worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel as the...

The hotel web reservation site states the cost was $30 but we were charged $42. This was quite a difference from the advertised price. Although the service and food was commendable and the views great, we would not have come had we known the true price.
A casual dining experience at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Pretty good food, casual atmosphere, spectacular views out the back. Wine list lacking. Poutine was the comfort food of the day. Salads were well prepared.
The Rundle Lounge is a gorgeous room with great service. If you can snag one of the tables at the very front you will have a magnificent view. Our waitress went out of her way to ensure that our meal was fabulous. She was friendly and prompt and her recommendations for a light supper were spot on.
It's a seat yourself area. Server was very good. I liked the fish-n-chips. I think it was the mac-n-cheese which was really bad. It was actually bitter. I don't know why. But the server along with the chef was nice enough to replace it with pizza.
