Not too bad

This restaurant is connected to Irwins Mountain Inn and is also their breakfast restaurant. Food is quite good if you order various small courses from the Tapas menu. The menu includes a lot of non Hispanic stuff, so don't let the name put you off if you are not into Mexican or Spanish type foods... read more

The hostess warned that the restaurant was expecting a large reservation to arrive soon. We quickly ordered before they arrived...not that it mattered. A full tour bus arrived and were served before us. They complained of no beverages, wrong orders and no order at all. By the time our eggs over easy arrived, they were cold and hard. The bread... Chateau Briand carved at the Table. Good Spanish wine. Friendly service by Emma. Nice flambe dessert also prepared at the table. Even though it became very busy the service stayed friendly.

Make sure to leave room for dessert!! The food was awesome and we had an array of tapas and salad and were stuffed but the warm chocolate cake at the end was phenomenal!! Delicious. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere it was all wonderful. Check this place out.

Breakfast was a buffet affair. Good selection of all the normal breakfast entrees, but the serving trays were only lukewarm (not enough Sterno?). Happy enough, but nothing to make me want to come back again.

We arrived to a complete empty restaurant, and were advised the only table for us was a cold, uninviting table by the front door. We took a seat and endured bland cold Mexican food, though our waitress was fine. During our meal a group did arrive, a group of seniors who were made to go back outside and wait as... More

My wife and I stayed at Irwin's Mountain Inn a total of 5 nights associated with a Road Scholar tour. El Toro was used by RS for 4 breakfasts and 2 dinners. El Toro and Irwin's are physically connected. This review concerns breakfasts only and NOT dinners. Breakfasts buffet style---serve yourself. There was a choice of yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs,... My fiance and I stayed at Irwin's Mountain Inn, right next to El Toro and we were happy that it served Mexican food which we love. We ordered the Sizzling Fajitas which were delicious! The restaurant was pleasant, the atmosphere was really chilled, well suited to a romantic cozy evening and was just what we needed after a full days... More

This is by far the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. The restaurant is in a small Inn. Do not be fooled by what the inside looks like and it is well worth the wait! The prices are quite resonanle. The person that took care of us was a student from Montreal, she was so... More

This place had so-so service which was rather slow. The food wasn't bad, but didn't have alot of flavor like we are use too. Perhaps we should have watched everyone around us and only ordered the special. You can probably live without this place, but it will be sustanence.
