So you can spend WAY too much money on a chain restaurant, or a lesser eatery, in Banff. But if you eat here, you will experience an authentic food experience at a fair price. Ticino is born from first-hand knowledge of food in the northern Italy/Switzerland region. The food is excellent, the wines excellent, the service outstanding, from a family... More

We enjoyed the food but it look so long. People who came well after us were served before us. I was told we are group of 6 and groups smaller do get served faster even since we came first!? They need more help and need to understand service is just as important as quality..

Ticino's is owned & operated by a local family and has been in business for over 30 years! We had the pleasure of having one of their sons and one of their daughters wait on us. My wife and I had the tomato cucumber salad with fresh mozzarella, very fresh & flavorful. Then I had the fresh snails in buttery... More

Got a great coupon from Travelzoo for a meal that included an appetizer, entrée, glass of wine and shared desert. A great meal. Started with a cheese fondue that brought back memories of Switzerland. Follow by chicken breast breaded in hazelnuts and a weiner schnitzel that my husband had. Delicious . The vegtables were varied and fresh and the swiss... More

Had a wonderful dinner at this Swiss restaurant. We had a coupon from Travelzoo that included appetizer, entree, class of wine and a shared desert. The cheese fondue appetizer was delicious and better than what I remember experiencing in Switzerland. We had to stop so that we would enjoy the main course. I had breaded chicken, breaded in hazelnuts and... More

Our party of five adults was starving when we walked by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. I had the elk osso buco, my sister had the beef stroganoff, my husband had Wiener schnitzel, my son had beef tenderloin in herb butter sauce and my brother in law had chicken stuffed with Gouda.... My wife and I absolutely love fondue. Yet, not all fondue restaurants are alike. We have been spoiled by some of the best in Switzerland with Geneva having the best. In the United States we avoid all fondue chains and keep exploring for that mom & pop fondue restaurant. While recently in Banff, Alberta (Canada) for a few days we... More

Had a cheese fondue here and it was every bit as good as those we have had in Switzerland and very reasonably priced. House white was good as well!

Great food. Had the gnochi and loved it. Tiramisu was wonderful. Very swiss in food and experience. Don't be put off by location in a modest hotel. My wife and I were in Banff for a week and this was our best meal.
