Excellent Food

Excellent service and food. Three in our party and ordered a salmon, pasta and steak dish. All were delicious, cooked as requested and not an overwhelming amount of food. The bench seating was not very comfortable and really pricey.

This is a great place to eat but more expensive than most. It is high end enough that NHL hockey players come here to eat such as the San Jose Sharks if they have a layover between games in Alberta

We didn't have a reservation and we were seated upstairs, we had a great start with the Beef Carpaccio and the Scallops and Pork Belly and then we had the duck breast a lovely large portion which was amazing and also the salmon and prawn dish, we both enjoyed a glass of wine and the winelist is very extensive. Didn't... More

This place is definitely top notch, thus the prices. Everything tasted terrific! My only wish was that their mini elk burger appetizers was actually full size. They were mouth watering good!

Wow! What an incredible meal! A nice selection of scotches. My husband enjoyed the French Onion Soup while I dined on the Pecan Crusted Baked Goat Cheese. Delicious! These were followed by the Alberta Prime Cowboy Steak and the Bison Tenderloin. The bison was fantastic. We are from California, and when we get bison in the US, it is mostly... More

N51°10'35" W115°34'17" with plenty of local and foreign fans, the Maple Leaf eschews all other pretensions in favour of one defining word: "Canadian". Hence, BC salmon, east coast cod, Albertan beef and Okanagan wine anchors the menu. Maple Leaf is divided in several dining rooms. The wooden interior with its centrepiece staircase oozes style and raises the expectation Maple Leaf... More

Was in Banff this time last year (Jan 2015) and happened upon The Maple Leaf, where I ordered the duck, which was my food highlight of the year. I was luck enough to get the opportunity to visit again this year and headed straight for The Maple Leaf, duck again - beautiful. But it's not just that one dish, the... More

This is my "go to" for lunch when I get to Banff for a day trip with friends. The food is great and there's a bar as well with views of the main street for people watching. There is also an upper level - so lots of room for you and your friends.

What a great restaurant, with an interesting menu and vast wine list. Their pudding portions are far too big! But that's just because their starters and mains were generous and soooo tasty, that you eat every mouthful. Staff were witty and great fun too. Highly recommend this restaurant....went there twice it was so good. A little higher cost to some... More

We have been going to the Maple Leaf for many years now and always eat seafood. If you're staying in Banff and, like us, eat a lot of steak, it's great to go there for a change and eat seafood. We usually have the two tie seafood platter which comes with all the usual suspects (smoked salmon, oysters, mussels, scallops,... More
