Lunch

Good food, great ale and nice service. Was surprised when I asked if there was anything on special. Answer: "restaurants don't have specials on Saturdays". Never knew that. Went to another restaurant and they had a lunch special, I almost called the restaurant police but I didn't have time.

Cozy Irish Pub right in the heart of Banff. My daughter had the Bison Burger and loved it. My husband and I tried the Nachos and Fish and Chips. Service was good, came back a second time since we really loved the food.

The food here is average, or slightly below average. Nothing special, but it is affordable. A typical pub-grub menu. Don't get the fish and chips, especially if you're British, you'll be extremely disappointed. Would recommend this pub for a pint of Guinness at the bar. Or a few beers with friends. Has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Would not recommend for... More

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal here. She had a turkey and Brie sandwich that was a notch above others she has had, and I enjoyed the best Shepherd's Pie ever! The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere perfect. As you'd expect, lots of drink options as well.

Had a craving for a stew or something hearty. Figured this to be a no brainer, so ordered a fav of mine in irish stew. However, what arrived was a sad event. This was more along the lines of Irish soup. Lamb seemed nice, no potatoes to be found, so it wasn't really filling. Didn't come with soda bread, which... More

We only spent 4 days in Banff and after eating here once, we had to go back! Fabulous steak and Guiness pie! It was nice to get off the main drag and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Other members of our party enjoyed the smoked salmon toastie and Gaelic chicken--everything got rave reviews!

Stayed 3 nights in Banff ate here two of them, Nice friendly staff and pub and lovely food. In the heart of Banff town so was very convenient. Only criticism would be as a pudding lover they need more choice than just three .
