I vested the Banff Saltlik for a stag April 25th, 2009 and I would 100% not go back. After reading and hearing many good reviews for this restaurant, we decided to give it a shot as we were wanting to have a good steak. We started on a good note with the dry ribs, which were anything but dry. I... more

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Decor and service were very warm and friendly. Steaks were expertly cooked and satisfied us both. I had a striploin @ $37.50 and my wife an 8oz fillet with shrimp. We only drank a glass of Bortoli Pinot Noir each but the quality was excellent. I would recommend the scallop potatoes as a side dish.... more

My family and I dined here on three nights and love the place. The first night my husband and daughter went on their own and were so impressed took us there the following night. The manager recognised him straight away and thanked him for returning. Larelle (or Leroy as he prefers to be known) was our waiter on the second... more

When your first insight into the quality is a straight up martini that fills only the bottom 1/4 of a martini glass and has two unpitted olives taking up most of the volume you know you're going to be in trouble. The waiter claimed all martini's are 2 oz - this was laughable - and unpitted olives with no skewer... more

This is one of the highest priced and most dissapointing restaurants in Banff. The entrees are EXTREMELY expensive for the quality of food, the a la carte sides are priced out of this world and the overall experience was worth half of what we paid. Stay away from the restaurant (upstairs) and enjoy the main floor lounge. more

The lounge is probably the trendiest spot in Banff to have a drink. The lounge is the downstairs portion and there is also a patio in the summer. I go here regularly for their signature martinis. I generally order my "Pillow Talk" or my "Coco Puff" martini with a real low masculine voice. I would drink them all night if... more

Went here with my new husband on our honeymoon and it was fantastic! Great decor, service good, menu great and food out of this world! Highly recommend fillet steak with mash...can't beat it. If you're lucky enough to visit Banff make sure you visit this steak house. more

The Saltlik is located in Bear Street in central Banff. There is free parking available in central Banff if you're driving but it is walking distance (in the summer) if you are in a hotel in Banff. When we arrived which was a Wednesday we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table to become free. As we had... more

The cocktails are a ripoff; they do not put as much alcohol in them as stated on the menu. Food is good though more
