Very much enjoyed a great meal tonight. The starter of short ribs and chicken wings were really tasty (not impressed by the dips). Mains were excellent, my wife had a lovely tuna salad which was really good. I had the best ribs I have ever had. Overall a bit expensive but it was still worth it.

Nice place for couples but a typical a la carte restaurant so it's not cheap. I had halibut, it was ok but sort of bland. The asparagus an au gratin potatoes were excellent and my partner had a steak that was good also. The atmosphere was wonderful and quiet, no annoying families with kids. We went here one night on the reccomendation of our barman and were not dissapointed ... I have to say I enjoyed my steak and they are very big. We eat regularly at Saltlik on our trips. The steaks are legendary and huge. Downstairs offers a good, mixed menu and became our favourite place for this last trip.

Touted by many as one of the best steakhouses in Banff... we were expecting much more. Service was adequate, but the food was, as the rating indicates, just average. Like many places in Canada, the menu was a la carte...and that always boosts the check price into the, "was it really worth it.." category.

First thing I don't like dining in places where the servers think they are better than the customers. Secondly the restaurant was over priced considering the food was so-so. I think there are better options in Banff for Steak like Toro's or Melissa's( much better value).

Service was good - buy a coke and get free refills! I usually had toasted sandwiches, and macaroni cheese - all good. Cocktail menu very nice ....
