Service was fine, but food was only fair, no imagination to presentation or cooking. Quality of food only average.

We were visiting from England, it was our first visit to Banff and Le Beaujolais had been recommended to us. It was a special trip, as my brother, my sister and I don't get to spend a lot of time together in England. We were not disappointed! My siblings and I enjoyed a sublime meal here whilst on a tour...

Five us us recently ate dinner at Le Beaujolais in Banff. The food was very "tasty" with a great menu and great service. The wine, while good, was fairly expensive. While the "ambiance" was not the greatest - we would not hesitate to return. The wait staff were excellent.......all in all a great experience.
My spouse and I have just visited Restaurant Le Beaujolais in Banff over the May long week-end for our 26th wedding anniversary. We were looking for an encore to our experience there on our 25th. In this, we were not disappointed.
To us, a trademark of this restaurant is its optimal mixture of comfortable tradition and innovation in its offerings...

Our family of cousins met in Banff for a visiting weekend. We hadn't seen each other since our Grandmother passed. It was a very special weekend to get reacquainted and just enjoy each other's company. The restaurant was suggested to us by the concierge in our hotel and it was perfect. We arrived at 7:00 and we left at 11:00...

Le Beaujolais is my favourite restaurant in Banff for a fine dining experience. Not only is the food fantastic but the service is truly superb. The atmosphere is quiet and conducive to conversation. We never feel rushed although by European standards it would still be considered a little too quick (1.5 hrs from aperitif to dessert). Our only quibble was...

We went to the Beaujolais to celebrate our wedding anniversary, ....and what a celebration it was! We ordered the six course surprise menue and were in awe with every single course. Service, presentation, creativity, choice of ingredients, flavours were all outstanding. Every course was splendidly paired with a complementing wine. All in all a true celebration for the senses!!!

We showed up for out 9PM reservation on a Friday night. We ordered a couple martinis and the foie gras appetizer. The appetizer was easily the highlight of the meal. For our main course we ordered the duck breast and an Alberta New York strip. Duck was above and beyond our expectations. However, the chef totally missed it on the...

My first visit to "The Beauj" (as I've learned the locals call it) was back in 2004. There again today I enjoyed a great atmosmosphere, wonderful staff and fantastic quality for money spent. It's easy to spend 30+ at for a plate at any given restaurant these days, but hard to find food AND service that live up to the...

It is always such a pleasure going to this restaurant as we've been going there from the very first day they opened (in 1981, I believe). My wife started with the Salmon trio and I started with the popular combo which included steak tartare - a dish I love! We then shared two delicacies for the main course ... the...
