The food was good, but it was loud and when we left we smelt so horrible! I don't know if its worth it...or be sure to bring your Febreze with you.

Me and my partner ate here when we stayed in Banff and were very happy. We had all three courses and were very satisfied. The main course cooking our own food on the hot rock was great fun and the Toblerone fondue for dessert was fantastic. They also had a good selection of beer and wine. The service was also... More

Fondue can be fun, but I think one would have a much better experience making fondue from home and hosting some friends. There are more negatives than positives with this restaurant, as follows: Postives: - novel experience - novel restaurant: a throwback to the 1970s, there are phones at every setting that you can use to ring other tables and... We had a late lunch at this restaurant. My teenagers ordered this "cooking on a rock". They bring uncooked meat, and a hot rock, and literally you cook your meal yourself on the hot rock. Really cool experience. The décor is dark, and the lighting is poor. Don't forget to bring your glasses to read the menu. The staff were... More

Mouthwatering food !! You will leave here stuffed and happy!!! There isn't anything they miss! The cheese course is fantastic and who doesn't love strawberries and bananas covered in chocolate? The service is amazing - funny, knowledgeable and not without a great sense of humor. A definite must visit!

Not sure what happened to this place from last year? Service was terrible, the place was packed and we were crammed into a corner even though I had made reservations 6 weeks prior. The manager didn't care when we talked to him in fact he was rude and nonchalant. So much for constructive criticism!

We don't always make a point of dining at the Grizzly when in Banff but it is an enjoyable evening with a group, especially when one gets into the spirit of the place and selectively phones people at other tables. The food is good - not stellar - but the variety of meats available for the fondue is impressive. Not... More

After hearing good things about this venue from friends I thought I would give it a go. I was looking forward to a fondue experience but it wasn't to be. The fondue meals are all designed for two or more people. Being someone travelling on their own this limited me to selecting a generic meal, which I could have gotten... More

Everyone says that the grizzly house fondue is the thing to do in Banff but I am glad I went on a casual dinner rather than bringing out of town relatives. All in all the whole experience was lack lustre and over priced

This was our first meal in Banff after we arrived. We sat outside on their patio as it was all booked, you need to make reservations if you want to be inside. They had heaters outside which helped, it was not too cold though. The service was great and it was a really neat change to the regular restaurant meal.... More
