Sticky toffee pudding = Heavenly

We had dinner here on a Sunday evening and it was very good. Not super gourmet but simple and done well. The rib eye was cooked perfectly and was great quality. The salad crisp and fresh and the bread warm and soft. I would avoid the mashed potatoes next time in favor of the baked. The table behind... read more

After driving past Melissa's on several occassions, after we had breakfast at Tooloulou's, and seeing that it looked quite busy, we thought we would give this place ago. The service was rushed, the breakfast wasn't really all that great, so i wouldn't really bother going there at all.

We just spent a week skiing in Alberta and BC. We stayed in downtown Banff, right on the banks of the Bow River. With all of the different choices of restaurants in town, Melissa's (Missteaks) Restaurant was by far the best, coziest to dine at - It's a warm and inviting place and the manager Robin is absolutely fantastic. It... More

We had to wait about 25 minutes to get a table on a Sunday morning, but it was worth it. Everything on their breakfast menu is sold individually so I was able to order one chorizo Benny (so good)and one piece of french toast, and my husband got one regular Benny and one chorizo Benny. The English muffins on the... More

After reading the reviews we thought we had to try this place for breakfast. Hmmm. Not so great. Mediocre at best. Wasn't impressed. Service was slow and rushed. Food was very average tasting. Hash browns were barely cooked. Toast was borderline burned. Sausages were more like jerky. Won't go back

The atmosphere was fantastic and the service even better! The waitress was on her own but you would never have known it. She was very efficient and we were never waiting for anything and the place was 3/4's full! If you like calamari, I don't know if I have had better!

A lot of other reviewers have commented on the breakfast so I'll focus on dinner. Excellent food to fill the stomach, plenty of busy attentive service. Not haute cuisine - just solid stuff done well We didn't even have their signature steak or lobster and we thought it was great.

We ate breakfast at Melissa's most mornings during a recent 5 day visit to Banff. The servers were friendly and efficient and the food was always very good. We will be back!
