Pretty Good Food for the Price

The food was good, but at that price I would have expected a tad better. The seafood I ate was very good, but the pasta and the sauce both left a little to be desired. Service was incredible, as was the atmosphere.

We came for the breakfast buffet. Don't waste your money. Walk a little further and go to the Keg's. The potatoes were over cooked and the scrambled eggs were bland and gross. A few of us ordered off the menu and their food was no fresher then what was in the buffet. There was only one type of juice to... More

Nice place when the weather is poor and you do not want to leave the hotel. Nothing really fancy but they offer a nice relaxing place to eat and settle in for dinner. For a casual drink the lounge is perfect. My wife had the salad and I had a burger. Standard fare but good.

We were staying at the Delta Royal Canadian Lodge, other wise, it probably wouldn't have occurred to us to dine there. But 2 of the 5 nights we were in Banff, we were too tired from long hikes to walk to dinner. Luckily, the restaurant in the hotel is really good! The first night I had the Artic Char, and... More

Michelin-trained Chef Gary Dayanandan specializes in "Canadian Cuisine", featuring Canadian ingredients like elk, bison, salmon and Alberta beef. I found the elk medallions a bit dry but the dish was saved by a delightful port wine and cherry sauce. My wife selected bison short ribs which were nicely presented in the French style in a wine stock with mushrooms, onions... More

After having eaten at many hotel restaurants that are overpriced for mediocre food, my group was pleasantly surprised by the great food and service at The Evergreen. We had spent a long day seeing the sights and didn't make it back to the hotel until close to 9:30. Even though the restaurant closed at ten, we were seated and our... More

Compared to the restaurant in the adjoining hotel, the food and service are excellent. Prices are reasonable as well.
