Last night of our Canadian tour, having had fab food in Toronto, Niagara, Calgary, Lake Louise we were not disappointed here, service could have been better but the food served and friendliness of staff was very enjoyable.

We had two evening meals and one breakfast at the Evergreen Restaurant while we stayed at the Delta Banff Hotel. The food was good and the service was satisfactory but there was nothing special about the experience and the food was fairly pricey. Definitely not a bargain breakfast.

Excellent place in a hotel a couple of blocks down Banff avenue from the main area of tourist shops. Food was great, we had Elk & Venison. Not sure why there weren't more people in the place on a Friday night. Toffee pudding for dessert. Service was fine.

We entered the dining room about 7 PM to find it almost empty. While our waiter was very courteous, service in general was very slow. Don't know if that was a reflection on the server or the kitchen. Food was served barely room temperature and when we left, the dining room was only slightly more crowded than when we arrived.... More

Greeter and server Kohei set the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. He was attentive and helpful in making entry suggestions and beverage paring. My wife had the Royal Lodge Salad and I had the Steak Diane. The meal was fabulous w/oversize portions. Ambiance was terrific. Kohei provided superb service to us even though he was also responsible for serving... More

We visited on a Friday night with a reservation and the restaurant was about half full. The restaurant had a typical hotel look: upscale with attractive light-wood furniture, lots of glass windows and white tablecloths but really not anything unique to give it special character or ambiance. Its on the ground floor of the hotel so there is no scenic... More

This restaurant is lovely inside with warmth and plenty of space between tables. We had the elk medallions and they were very tender and the preparation was both attractive and very flavorful. The waiter was quite attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants a really good meal and good service.

Came in for a quick meal and ordered the Canadian Elk. Food arrive quickly and was of good taste. What soured the meal for me was that there was a large piece of plastic in the food (what I assume was a sliced piece of a vacuum bag that must have been used in the cooking process). I discretely pointed... More

Made reservations for the weekend of the Rocky Mountain Wine Festival, which ended up not being necessary since there were only 3 full tables in the entire restaurant! We had the place essentially to ourselves and received top notch service. My husband had the beef short ribs and I had the lodge salad. Both were fabulous, but I would give... More

Staying in Banff for several days provides for culinary challenges. Beaujolais presents itself as "the" place and we found it severely lacking. In speaking with others and reading reviews, we decided to give Evergreen a try. The elk was very good. Service is lacking and seems very disjointed, we found that our party of five did not has a smooth... More
