This is a great spot if you like farm-to-table type food. I had a great bowl of hearty soup for a late lunch one day and went back for their goat cheese and spinach quesadilla the next evening, and it was delicious. I also had a cappucino there after a cold morning outdoors, and it was one of the best... More

I’ve stopped in at the Coyotes Southwestern Grill every time I find myself near Banff on vacation. It’s found down Caribou Street, just west off of the main Banff Ave. Tables pack the small, unpretentious restaurant, which always seems full when I’ve stopped by for lunch. It’s sometimes fun to sit up at the kitchen counter to watch the cooks... More

Reservations are highly recommended for this restaurant. Numerous couples were turned away because of the reservation list and long wait times for tables. The food is fantastic. Made fresh to order in an open concept kitchen, the tasty dishes are very satisfying. This is a great place for vegetarians (Try the sweet potatoe polenta) and meat-eaters alike. The restaurant can... More

We had dinner Oct 18 and was not impressed. Both my wife and I had the Blue Corn Stacked Chicken Enchiladas at $25 each. They used mozzarella instead of a Mexican cheese and the sauce had too much tomato which gave it more an Italian taste than Southwestern. The whole thing was piled on top of vegetables with overcooked, mushy... More

Hard to believe they have been in the same spot for over 22 years, but it is true. I find it entertaining to watch the folks outside reading over the menu posted on the door and attempting to reach a decision to enter or not......JUST GET IN THERE. Not to be missed.

Really nothing to dislike, we have dined at this restaurant on several occasions over the past numerous years. The food is always tasty with an interesting decor, it is our place of choice whenever we visit Banff. Value for the dollar is a bit high, But considering it is Banff, I believe pricing to be competitive with the area. Always... More

Went there for dinner on Thanks Giving Sunday, making sure before hand that the regular menu was available and also booked a table. The food in general was good but it took almost an hr to get it. As a result the steaks were cold but we didn't want to send it back as we had already waited too long... More

We were greeted warmly by the host and had to wait a bit. No big deal. We were sat and then the fun began. Our server was miserable and unfriendly toward us. She took our order.. a sandwich/soup combo and a flatbread. 20 minutes later we received them with no checkup or 'sorry for the wait'. I've worked in professional... More

The two of us stopped in for lunch and ended up spending $70 without any alcohol...given the size of the portions and quality of the food, it wouldn't have even been good value for dinner. The entrees had good flavors but the portions were somewhat small. The pizza advertised having a corn crusted dough but mine did not...not a big... More

Don't miss a visit to this place. Its unique and welcoming, with rustic decor, great food and good prices. The service was also excellent. It's the kind of place you're happy to return to. You can sit at the bar or at the tables, and while you eat you can watch the chefs preparing meals. Great place.
