Dinner at The Balkan was very good. We had the baklava, chicken souvlaki, greek feta salad, and hummous with pitas were some of the best, freshest pitas I've ever had. Nice atmosphere.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Tried the platter for 2 and loved the variety, even if it was slightly pricey. Would definitely go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Balkan. From the Mighty Aphrodite cocktails to the bison and the wild boar chop entrees, we enjoyed it all. The service was excellent and the atmosphere fun. We loved watching the flames whenever someone ordered a menu item that could be lit on fire. We'd go back.

We read the good reviews and decided to try it tonight- and we're glad we did! We had a great server,Jennifer, who was fun . We had the calimari, the lamb chops and lamb shanks and all were delicious. Everyone was friendly and it was a nice, not over the top, ambience. Would go back!

We're only in Banff for a couple of nights, but I don't think we've eaten better than here for a long time. Amazing food, best feta balls we've ever had. Lamb was also another winner. As usual we ordered enough to prevent a large family starving for a week, but our lovely waiter Nik packed it all away for us... More

We ate here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our meal. We ordered a few appetizers to share and left the restaurant so full. The service was fabulous and I'd definitely return again, I'd be interested in coming for dinner to experience the atmosphere in the evening.

We went on Greek night, hoping to see the dancing and plate smashing. Our reservation was at 9pm but unfortunately we had missed the show. Food was great, but drinks were expensive. Overall a great restaurant with a busy atmosphere.

Plenty to eat on the $10 lunch special. The leek and potato soup was my favourite but the Greek food was not the tastiest I've had which would make me reluctant to pay the evening prices. The Feta salad was very average but the lunch deal changes daily and represents excellent value for money.

I had the chance to eat at Balkan recently and for the most part enjoyed the experience. The menu features traditional Greek items mixed in with lamb, boar and pasta. The environment was very tasteful and had a fun vibe. Staff was very knowledgeable, as our server was Lukas. We had a number of appetizers including the pita with spicy... More

The Balkan Restaurant is a treat! We arrived an hour early, yet we were welcomed, and the table was set and they were ready for our group of 40 plus skiers. They fed us and catered to our needs despite having a large group. The food was excellent. I ordered a lamb shank, where the meat fell off the bone.... More
