We were staying at the Rimrock for a weekend getaway. Luckily, our package included Saturday morning brunch buffet! Primrose is very elegant, and in a brunch setting it makes for a unique experience. We dined at the restaurant Primrose just before Christmas as part of an annual company Christmas party. Overall this was the very different from the last time where the service and food we impeccable. There were many problems this year starting with the wrong table numbers being put together which we had to wait for the proper tables to be... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. We truly apologize if your group table was not adequately ready due to missed information. Our management team did our best to rectify the situation as best as they could on such short notice. Our table set up had a different configuration as we offered a full Pasta Buffet on that evening. Efforts were... More

Just before Christmas my son booked a couple of days at a Canmore resort but we ended up in Banff for dinner both nights. He wanted to go to the Primrose in the Rimrock hotel, perhaps the second nicest hotel in town after the Banff Springs. The service was top-notch- can't complain. The menu didn't have a huge selection but... More

I really enjoyed the decor, atmosphere, and food at the Primrose. The menu is mostly Italian with a modern twist. The staff was uber friendly and catered to our every need. Went there twice during our stay.

Christmas dinner. Reserved for 4. Got there a bit early and were seated right away. Our waiter, who's name escapes me, was absolutely wonderful. The meals, unfortunately, just didn't do it for us. The menu on Christmas day was a pre-set 4 course affair. We had a lobster bisque-lumpy type of soup. Okay. Just not memorable. Salad was a disaster.... More

My boyfriend and I had a Christmas getaway in Banff and stayed at the Rimrock Hotel. We made dinner reservations at the Primrose for 7pm. The restaurant was filled with tables celebrating the beauty that the restaurant has to offer. Our server, Jessica Schall, was so pleasant in taking us through the menu, giving us time and making sure we... More

The food was decent tasting but a bit overpriced for what we actually received. I had eggs benedict and partner had toast with eggs and sausage, with coffee each, and bill came out to over 50$ at end.

We ate several meals at the Primrose, and we were not disappointed. Delicious food with outstanding service. The Pasta and Dessert Buffet was especially noteworthy; a great dining experience.
