The food at the Juniper is so good, I want to drive from Canmore to eat dinner there! Wonderful, current dishes with interesting and delicious flvours, from the chicken salad wraps done with a lemon aioli to the tender salmon filets, to the fresh sorbets and desserts. And of course the spectacular Bow Valley mountain view comes with every meal.

I went for lunch. The atmosphere of the place is great. Sitting outside is fun and has a nice view. It is confusing when you get there because there is no sign that says Juniper Bistro. There is a sign calling the restaurant by a different name. I asked if it was the same place, and it is. I think... More

Our house is being renovated so we decided to go out for Thanksgiving this year. We drove up to Banff for our reservation at Juniper Bistro. When we arrived, there was a line-up waiting to talk to the Hostess. It took about 10 minutes before we even talked to someone. We were told to wait, which we did for another... More

The restaurant was by far the best part of the hotel. It had great views on the lakes and Banff and the food was very tasty. The rooms on the other hand were very basic and small and we had to take 30 minute break between taking showers because of the bad sewerage. The location was nice for views but... More

Had dinner here on the recommendation of a local. The meal was terrific. You'll want to try the wild mushroom bruschetta- fabulous! We had the daily pasta and a steak, both were excellent. Service was speedy and top-notch and our server (Steve) made an excellent wine suggestion. The view from the restaurant is very beautiful. The surprise is the location... More

We, a party of 4, decided to dine here last night. Upon arrival, we were confused by the sign "Muk-a-Muk Bistro". Thinking we were in the wrong place, we inquired. The person at Reception was on a long phone call and she signaled that she could not be interrupted. The host/waiter we spoke to seemed extremely busy (although the restaurant... More

Had dinner here tonight based on the recommendation from Joe at Canada House Gallery. We were very glad we took his recommendation. My husband had the pasta of the day ($23) which was yummy and I had the game hen with risotto ($29), also very good. The view from this restaurant is second to none - you overlook the Bow... More

Visited the Juniper Bistro & Lounge one summer evening with family visiting from Mexico. The restaurant offers an outdoor patio with beautiful views of the area. Only complaint was that it was a little noisy with the highway being below the restaurant and there could have been better signage to access the restaurant (we ended up walking through the entire... Our travel book recommended Juniper Bistro for its good food and a great view of the Bow Valley, and the book was absolutely right. We enjoyed our food (we had a salmon wrap and a chicken sandwich) and the view of the Bow Valley was quite spectacular. However, we did not realize that the restaurant sits on the hillside just... We went for dinner with another couples as we have been there for lunch before. The views are amazing and some of the best you will get from a restaurant in Banff. The service is excellent and that was one of the reasons we went back. The lunch menu is better than the dinner menu. There is very limited choices... More
