Great food, but not very atmospheric when quiet

Yes, you do need to cross the Trans Canada Highway to get here. It is only a matter of a few minutes but the stroll is worth it. I'm from Alberta and have driven past this place not knowing of its existence. We made reservations and were given a lovely spot in front of the clean windows with the beautiful... More

From reading previous reviews, they are definitely correct when they say you should eat here at least once! Excellent service, can't say enough about the meals. We had the rib eye and the beet risotto, both cooked to perfection. The soup was unbelievable! A little off the beaten path from downtown, but worth the trip over the highway. Casual atmosphere,... Every dish, from appetizer to dessert were excellent. Very flavorful and well presented. Good value for the money. Also very nice location on the hill provided a great view of the mountains.

We had an amazing experience in this restaurant last night. Foods were perfectly prepared with sophisticated taste, nice presentation. You can tell how much love the chef has for cooking. Service was warm, our waiter (forgot to ask for his name) was a sweet guy. Enjoy the meal, relax with a wonderful view of Rundle mountain, and leave with big... More

If you live in a city with a great food scene, and are usually disappointed when you travel, you will not be by Juniper Bistro, that is, if you preview the menu and find something that interests you. I tell you this upfront because supposedly excellent restaurants in Banff get rave reviews, and quite frankly, they are a step up... More

Located just outside the town of Banff, Juniper Bistro offers the best views by far! The food is locally sourced and to die for. The pork loin, citrus cheesecake, and brown butter hash were the best I've ever tasted (I've been trying to duplicate the brown butter hash for the past few weeks to no avail...so I guess I will... Food, and service very good. Homemade food. The restaurant has a great view overlooking Rundle mountain and the town of Banff. We had the eggs benedict, they were very good and made from scratch

Wonderful bistro with fantastic views of Banff's surrounding mountains. Awesome menus selections. For starters we had the mackerel and mushroom fennel soup, both of which were very good and artistically presented. For our main course we had the saddle of lamb and poached fish, both of which were fantastic. Unfortunately, there were only two servers who had to seat people,... More
