Very good value, very filling, tasty

Don't spend $$$ ... go here for a quick, healthy, hearty lunch or even dinner. Place is very small but you can take out but the taste and quality is big.

We often eat at Chaya when we are in Banff when we are craving a good old fashioned bowl of noodles in soup. Although I have tried several of the different ramens, the shoyu ramen is still my favorite and never disappoints.

Wonderful little 'hole in the wall' Japanese with really great food. Happily open a bit late on a Sunday!! Delicious!

This small restaurant is located along Banff Avenue next to McDonald. When we arrived at the restaurant at 6.30 pm the restaurant was full. We were told it will be a half hour wait. So we went shopping and returned later. We ordered a BBQ Pork Ramen and a Kakiage Udon. The service was good and the restaurant set up... More

Stopped at this little restaurant during my last skiing trip with family. The shop is pretty small and tight (and not to mention often packed with customers), but the food is super tasty and the staff is very friendly! I ordered both the kitsune (sweetened tofu) soba, and Japanese curried rice. As Banff is very tourist oriented, the food in... More

I ordered " Shoyu ramen". As a big ramen fan, it was big let down. Needle was fine but soup was not good at all. I do not recommend Shoyu ramen here. I certainly won't come back to this restaurant during this vacation.

One of the best places to have Ramen soup. Every Banff visit constitutes a time to eat there. The sushi is good too. But the place is small to accommodate big parties. Otherwise it is thumbs up!

Try everything! From their Ramen to their Udon to their Donburi, everything's delicious. My fave is their Tan-Tan ramen, I've had it during one of the coldest days. If you want to go during lunch time, they open around 11:30am, and due to the limited seating capacity, best to be there 10-15 minutes before they open as there might be... More

I had miso ramen and my husband had tan-tan ramen (spicy). Both are really tasty. This place is tiny and gets full very quickly. Avoid lunch and supper time so you are guarantee to get a seat.
