Awesome and authentic soup! So good on a cold day to go into the little nook of a restaurant. Nestled next to McDonald's in a tiny hallway like room -not much seating so not the best for groups

We had a hard time finding any affordable restaurants in Banff. This place is. A big bowl of food is $10-13 and the noodles are delicious. The place is tiny, however, so if you come at peak times expect a wait.

This tiny noodle shop is packed with patrons. Be prepared for a wait. However, it is worth it. Prices are very reasonable, and the food tastes good. Real comfort food. We came here twice while we were in Banff and enjoyed both visits.

If you like a self service lunch ( ie collect your own utensils water etc)and are happy to sit in a tiny space then this place is worth a visit . Food very good and inexpensive but feel rushed to finish as always people waiting for a table .

Me and my husband got into town and we ended going at Chaya. The place is small and crowded. We didn't have any place to sit so we did take away. We didn't have to wait for very long, our food was ready in ten minutes. We had chicken curry with rice and chicken teriyaki with rice. They gave out... More

I went here because of the positive reviews on Zomato and Tripadvisor and it was listed as an inexpensive restaurant. I came in at 1 pm hoping that I beat the lunch rush. But when I got there, I was told that there will be an availability for table for 2 in 40 minutes. I decided to wait. I understand... More

18 seat restaurant. Have to wait outside and wait until somebody comes out, They don't take more than 4 people at the time. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and fast. You walk in to the counter, place your order, take silverware or chop sticks, water and wait for your food to come out. I would return again.

Chaya is a very good place to eat. It is a very small place, so it's not good for big groups. I was with a big group and although we were able to get a spot within 20 minutes, we had 3 kids under 3 with us and you do feel the pressure to eat as quickly as you can... More

This place is busy and if you don't have time to wait or like to come in groups and enough the dinning experience then this is not the place for you. This is a fast food like noodle house not unlike the similar style in Japanese. You just order, eat and go. I don't know how many times I see... More
