You will leave full and wishing you could have squeezed in that last bit of oishii food! Forget the other reviews, nothing tastes or even resembles packaged food. The service is always friendly, smiling and appreciative of your business. A tasty, inexpensive option for travellers on a budget.
Beef don. Tan tan. Everything. All other reviews are dumb. The service is awesome. Food is always good. I grew up in banff and I always come here onmy days off and all the girls are always so good to me.
this little restaurant might not look like much from the outside (parked right next to a mcdonalds)- but the food is excellent- not expensive like many other Banff establishments- and IS indeed authentic Japanese. I would like to address some previous reviewers comments that the ramen is not Japanese and "just because it is run by Japanese people doenst make...

People who wrote the previous reviews about 'best / most authentic ramen in Alberta' must have never had ramen before. Even frozen ramen from TNT is better than that. Also, just because it's runned by Japanese doesn't make it authentic.
First off, the noodle isn't even authentic ramen, it's Chinese noodle for god's sakes! And the soup base is just...

Food was very good, service's good too. This restaurant is exactly like those little places in Japan. I liked it.
good japanese ramen/udon/ domburi for reasonable price. it's small with only about 6 tables, so expect a slight wait. almost all the customers were from Japan. pretty fast service once you order at the window after finding a table.
Great food in great price! The place is quite small and not with a lot of places to sit but we didn't wait at all ( a lot of their customers are for take-away). We took 2 great soaps - the dishes were quite big and very tasty. Strongly recommended !!!
I can't resist stopping by and having a meal in this restaurant every time I am in Banff. All the staff are Japanese which somehow ensure quality of food. Love the food here. My favourite is chicken udon. Don is also good but the sourced rice sometimes is a bit salty.
One thing that people have to tolerate is the...
