We were staying at the Manor next door and decided to eat at this fabulous establishment. Upon arrival we were enthusiastically greeted and shown to a nicely appointed table close to the bar but still quiet enough for a nice conversation. As well as my wife and I we had our Border Terrier (Hugo) with us - he was immediately... More

We had dinner here one evening which was good although not as delicious as I had hoped it would be. To be fair they had been busy and were sold out of the dish we really wanted to try. The chicken dish I ordered sounded much better than it was - bits of chicken cut up in a gravy with... More

We decided to have a meal out on Saturday night as the January blues have set in. What a good idea! I had the steak with pepper sauce, the onion rings could be a starter on their on! My partner had the pideon breast served with lentils which went together very well. We both had a sweet, I had ice... More

We were staying in our motorhome nearby and wandered into the village with our dog hoping for some decent pub grub. Welcomed here and offered apologies for being too early for main menu. Clearly a popular local and we were happy to while away an hour before food was ordered. Good service, reasonable prices and nice meal - and decent... More

Homemade bread bought over to the table was absolutely delicious. The rest of the food was also really tasty and very generous portions. Too full to try puddings but I can imagine they would have been just as tasty. Obviously a popular place for the locals which gave it a really happy and friendly atmosphere.

Great food. Great beer and great wine selection. Service was excellent. For normal pub grub the price was a touch high but this is not your everyday pub grub!! The food was 1st Class. Locals eat and drink here which points you in the right direction. This place is worth every penny so please give it a try because you... More

Pub is very stylish but not pretentious. Menu was delicious - I had the confit of duck. We were lucky that there were only a few in today - we didn't feel pressured to move on after we'd finished.

We ate dinner here as we found out our hotel (Carey's Manor) wasn't really baby friendly. Their loss, our gain as this pub serves amazing food and let us park junior in his pram out of the way but next to us. A shared starter of the tasting platter had us giggling with how good each of the four hors... More
