Description: New village 'local' to open. A new pub is set to open in the village centre, just a year after community campaigners failed to save the Forest Heath Hotel. The Silver Hind is the result of a major conversion project led by incoming proprietors Andy and Carol Cottingham, who bought the building in October. This 6 mouth old restaurant will be not only hosting a newly installed bar serving local ales but two fantastic menus running along side each other created by Head Chef and his brigade.! We also cater for any special occasions and run special menus, for all enquiries please call, email or come and see us!

Myself and my boyfriend decided to eat here monday night. We didn't book as we thought a monday would be relatively quiet-how wrong were we. The atmosphere was lovely with very attentive staff. Although they were busy the food was served quickly and to a very high standard. I had the silver mullet with parsnips and vanilla and my boyfriend... More

I'll go here again but might ask for half portions of pork rack as 2 chops was a bit of a struggle. Full marks to the chef and staff.

We booked this restaurant whilst staying in Brockenhurst for our wedding anniversary on the 26/06. We checked the reviews before we went and were quite happy to book. Well, it was better than we thought the food was amazing could not fault a thing. The portions were really good. There was only 1 member of staff waiting on the night... More

Went here on Sunday courtesy of our daughter. Delicious meal and wonderful service. I had mackerel mousse and the roast beef which were both delicious, others had the lamb and pork, everyone agreed that the food was excellent and we couldn't fault the service. When we got there the highchair was already in place and they provided a colouring book... More

We ate in the Silver Hind on our final night of camping in Hampshire. Yes, it was a tad more expensive than some meals we have had, but it really was worth it. A nice touch to start was home made bread and tasters on the table. We had the tasting platter to start - a samosa, a little pot... More

The write-up says the new owners took over in October 2013. We went there with friends who have been there previously and were a bit reticient. The new owners have completely transformed the dining experience. Have a look at our pictures of the meals - they speak for themselves. We also enjoyed the service. Will definitely be going back there.

On a recent summer's evening went to Sway for a forest Walk and then for dinner at the Silver Hind. Arriving early, we were able to leave our car in their car park (probably can only take two cars) and had an hours walk in the New forest before returning to the Silver Hind. We sat outside and had a... More
