This is a little gem off the main "Banff-Lake Louise track". You have to veer off of the main #1 highway going south on Highway 93 to find it...but it takes no more than 10 minutes up the hill and is worth the trip. The lodge has a number of cottages for rent, which unfortunately I have never stayed in.... More

We have had 2 opportunities to dine in the restaurant and are planning a weekend get away in the lodge in a few week and just can't stop thinking about what to eat this time…My husband had the lamb twice and it was truly amazing both times and I don't normally like lamb. Even that sauces and sides that come... More

This place is truly special - the food was expensive, but outstanding quality for taste and presentation. The serving size was generous, I couldn't finish my elk dish, but we also had a cheese platter and local game meat starter, plus fruit crumble for dessert. Awesome! The menu showcased local game meats, which was great for an authentic Banff experience.... More

We had the best bison steak ever!!! Excellent food, great choices! The cabins are adorable and the place is beyond charming! Being able to have our little dog with us was a plus! Thank you for the great weekend!

This venue had so many positive reviews that is was a must to stop for lunch en route back to Calgary after savouring Banff and Lake Louise . . . No question about it, this type of historic destination almost does NOT exist any more, except in older remote locales such as Banff, Canada? Only one server for the entire... More

The restaurant at the lodge was recommended to me by a Yamnuska mountain guide in Canmore, and I am glad he did. Great mountain and historic Rockies ambiance, and great food. It's a small place so reservations are recommended. We had a short wait to be seated but the lounge with the fire place is a great place to sit... More

My husband and I stopped here to have dinner but they were full. Reservations are a good idea. Even though we didn't eat here I just wanted to comment on how beautiful, warm and cozy the lodge is. We look forward to eating here at another time. The day we stopped there was a huge forest fire right behind the... More

One of the best meals we've ever had! If you're looking for gourmet cuisine seasoned to perfection, stop here for dinner! Yes it is pricey, but it is worth it! If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion this is one of the best places to go. I had the Ranchland Chicken and my husband had the elk - both... More

One of the best meals we had during our trip through the Canadian Rockies, if not the best. My wife and I both had the beef tenderloin and it was the best, most well cooked tenderloin we've ever had. The service is comfortably laid back and very charming. A quaint lodge with nice lodge décor and a roaring fire to... More
