Never ever been disappointed with the food here!! One of the best places to eat out in derbyshire, great atmosphere, great restaurant, nice and old country pub. Sometimes the man on the bar can be quite rude, and the menus can take a bit long to come out but overall it's not enough to put you off this place. Service... More

This resturant is one of the best in the area. You see some reviews on here really putting this place down and I really can't understand why!! The food is always presented to highest of standards, taste amazing, and the service is always second to none!! You feel cosy from the second you walk in! From the warmth and the... More

We recently visited The Nettle whilst on a drive out into the countryside, we had already tried another local pub but couldn't get in without booking. The Nettle is a very very olde worlde pub that looks to have not changed in the last fifty years, it still has quaint little rooms, low beams and clutter of a bye gone... More

We visit the Nettle frequently and always recommend to family and friends! Perfect setting for an evening meal or Sunday lunch! ... relaxed atmosphere gorgeous food. Everybody we have taken love the food and ambiance. The specials board is exceptionally good consistently changing and always incredible dishes.... not something you get regularly in the area. Would recommend to anybody!

Mike & I have visited The Nettle Inn on several occasions in the past, but have not managed to go for a while, up til now. Sadly, they are not open on a Monday, which is our only day off. Although it was a little quiet, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and we were made to feel most welcome.... More

We recently visited the Nettle and were really impressed with the relaxed atmosphere and the superb home cooked food. We regularly have Italian colleagues visiting and took six of them to the Nettle and all of them loved the quirky décor and were really impressed with the food,( not an easy feat to impress an Italian with British food). The... More

We arrived for Sunday lunch. No menus were provided as we were informed that the only food on offer was the carvery. We had no idea what the cost was for the meal or the drinks until the final bill arrived. We were told that there were either 2 or 3 courses, but again we had no idea of the... More

We have visited the Nettle many times before and have always been impressed with the food and service but this time was a complete disappointment. We were not told which meals they had run out of and therefore had to quickly rethink when they were ordered. The rib eye steak and duck breast were extremely tough and the steak brought... More

Having been a regular visitor to the Nettle Inn for some years now, I simply can't understand some of the negative reviews I've been reading on here. Nestled in the heart of Derbyshire, with stunning surroundings, this well presented, friendly and beautiful pub offers everything anyone could want. The owners are always friendly and polite and go out of their... More

I went with my family to the nettle for a meal to celebrate my 21st birthday, after arriving and walking in we waited in the bar area until a bemused man looked at us and told us to go sit in the lounge until our table was ready. Eventually we were told out table was ready and then found our... More
