Despite my brother being turned away from this place a few years ago, for having his two young daughters with him, (Well mannered, well traveled kids). I decided to give this place a second chance. I even decided the bad reviews on here were maybe, written by trolls and to check it out for myself. How wrong was I? We... More

I visited this pub recently with a party of 9 for my nephew's 21st birthday(some of the party having been before) and 5 of us did not enjoy our meal. Myself and 4 others like white meat or vegetarian food and there was one vegetarian option. They had one chicken dish left, which i found disgusting considering the table was... More

Met some friends here on Saturday evening for a meal in the winter. There is a roomy bar area and a separate dining room which can appear a little cold depending upon the temperature outside. The food was great with efficient, friendly service as well. Would definitely go again.

Relaxing and cosy atmosphere, efficient and friendly service but most of all just wonderful food. The best quality Sunday carvery we've found in the area and we've looked around!

Found all the staff very friendly and helpful - Ordered from the Mon- Thurs menu on a Friday and they were very obliging for all our requests. Excellent quality freshly prepared food. Nice relaxing atmosphere - would recommend.

A group of us ordered sandwiches and chips. £6.50 each we paid. The meat sandwiches were two great thick slabs of pork from the carvery in a cheap white bap. NO STUFFING. Apple sauce appeared when most had finished eating. I had a cheese sandwich, it was bland grated cheese with some lettuce and a slice or 2 of tomato.... More

I love popping here for lunch or early dinner. Log fires in a traditional setting with good beer. Could stay all night if I wasn't driving

Went here for the first time for an evening meal. Whilst looking at the menu I was able to enjoy a well kept pint of Peak Ales Bakewell Best Bitter (brewed at Chatsworth) and my wife was pleased with her dry white wine. After choosing from the menu, we had a little wait before being shown into the Restaurant from... More
