Released from the Holiday Inn, Winchester for the evening my hosts took me here and I did not regret the decision. 6oz rump steak with the trimmings, well cooked, good price, what more could you ask for? Well actually some decent external lighting - if it not allowed to floodlight the place then at least put some in the garden... More

The Bush is quietly located in a pretty village, it does take some finding but well worth the effort. The food is excellent, so much so that we returned for a second visit the next night. Highly recommend the rump steak! The staff are very friendly and dogs are made very welcome.

loved the outdoor seating and area. food was not a small portion. this makes me very happy. i hate skimpy portions. price is a little high, but you expect that from such a lovely place and good quality food. and they are happy to have dogs. always a bonus

Watch your head as you enter this pub/restaurant! Great food and lovely ambience. The road leading to this quaint pub is lovely. Bring your walking shoes and go for a walk after a mouth watering meal. You won't be disappointed!

Went here for dinner with a friend and had lovely food and wine whilst sat out in the garden and then went for a walk to the river behind. Great food and good value for money. I recommend.

Took the grand kids here for lunch and a muddy trek around the pond, never fails! The chap behind the bar was friendly and replaced a drink after one was accidentally knocked over. Very good service, never an unhappy face in this pub, lovely to see. Very tasty roast dinners, and suprisingly not alot of it was left over on... More

Have been to this pub a few times before, and would ruturn in the future. The service from the staff was excellent, could not be bettered in my opinion ! A beautiful garden, and a lovely walk that runs along the front of the pub to a bridge across the river. What's not to like ?!

We found this pub after searching the internet for somewhere to stop en route to the New Forest. What a find! It is a lovely place with a fantastic garden and great food. Unfortunately it is not much of a secret as the garden was absolutely packed as it was a glorious day. However we eventually managed to get a... More

Meal was delicious. High standard for traditional pub food. The lighting bit bright would be nice with candles and dimmers. Special mention to Boris who knows the menu and drink selection very well and made us feel very welcome. A gentleman. Great pub and lovely setting.

Have been visiting this lovely pub for years and always impressed by the quality of food. However today my salmon with risotto was not much bigger than a starter and the risotto was completely tasteless. My companion's steak was well done instead of rare as asked for, and the management's riposte was that they preferred it that way (probably a... More
