I read the mixed reviews about this place but the recent ones looked good so we decided to give it a go. All three main meals were excellent as were the desserts. Service was prompt but we were not under pressure to finish. I will certainly come back in summer as the location is delightful and there are some great... More

Visited a couple of weeks ago for a family Sunday lunch. Service was slow, however they were busy so you can let them off. Soup to start was delicious. We had x 2 pork and x 1 lamb roasts. Although they advertised Pork Crackling (the only reason I went for the pork!) none arrived on my plate however my daughter... More

We spent a very enjoyable evening at The Bush Inn, dining with a friend. The service was friendly and welcoming. Our meals came quickly and were nicely presented. They tasted even better. It was cold and wet outside but lovely and warm inside. It was a bit dark, as these old pubs are, but I guess that adds to the... More

Found this pub purely by accident and we were glad that we did. It was a warm sunny day so everyone was in the large beer garden beside a stream. It was the perfect English pub setting. There is a good choice of beer and real ales plus the food was delicious. My wife ordered the ploughmans (see photo), while... More

Great location with an excellent garden area. Poor/non existent lighting inside but possibly would suit an evening setting better. Good menu, good portions. Prices a touch on the high side.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with friends with well cooked, reasonably priced roast dinners being selected although there is much more on the menu. Also very nice Wadworths beers. If the weather is good the gardens and the river make a great backdrop. As many have mentioned a bit hard to find but well worth the effort!

Released from the Holiday Inn, Winchester for the evening my hosts took me here and I did not regret the decision. 6oz rump steak with the trimmings, well cooked, good price, what more could you ask for? Well actually some decent external lighting - if it not allowed to floodlight the place then at least put some in the garden... More

The Bush is quietly located in a pretty village, it does take some finding but well worth the effort. The food is excellent, so much so that we returned for a second visit the next night. Highly recommend the rump steak! The staff are very friendly and dogs are made very welcome.

loved the outdoor seating and area. food was not a small portion. this makes me very happy. i hate skimpy portions. price is a little high, but you expect that from such a lovely place and good quality food. and they are happy to have dogs. always a bonus

Watch your head as you enter this pub/restaurant! Great food and lovely ambience. The road leading to this quaint pub is lovely. Bring your walking shoes and go for a walk after a mouth watering meal. You won't be disappointed!
