Have been going here for a number of years every summer. It simply is magical, food quality is exceptional with local produce served, it was duck season in August and the 3 course menu at 35 euros was good value and wines are not expensive at 20 euros for the house wine. make sure you book in advance and get... Situated unpromisingly on a small roundabout (car parking opposite) on the edge of Issigeac, Dordogne, we were very pleased to have been recommended this restaurant by friends. Luckily we had booked as the 'complet' sign was up when we got there at 12.30. I think they are a husband and wife combo and we were greeted by Madame and shown... More

Expected quite a lot from a visit paid here, following reviews on Trip Advisor and comments made by the owners of the place we were staying at. Unfortunately very disappointed.. It didn`t help that despite being the first people in the restaurant at 7.25 for a 7.30 reservation we had received one course by 9.00pm. This would have been acceptable... More

This is a nice place. We try and go a few times each year and take some of our family and visitors there for a treat. Food is very good served in a pleasant courtyard. We rate this along with the lovely Anciene de La Gare, also in Issigeac. Both have similar food, ambiance and prices and should not be... More

Reservation for lunch is essential at this remarkable restaurant. The food quality and presentation was just stunning. The chef deserves more stars than the milky way! I could not find sufficient superlatives in describing the various courses but honestly it was a three couse lunch as good as anywhere in the world. If you are a foodie this is your... More

We had a lovely dinner for four people at this wonderful restaurant. You have to book as it's really busy, but it's worth the wait! Simply, this was one of the best meals that we've had in many years - and we eat out a lot! The service and the wine list were very good and the food was simply... More

We had lunch here with our two kids. Around 18 euros for a two course meal. They provided something special for the kids (chicken with a potato and vegetable puree). The meal started with a set of three delicious starters. Then we had the saumon en papillote, also very good. We finished with a lovely dessert.

This is a small but perfectly formed restaurant, with a good exterior terrace. The carte is small, but with enough combinations to give you a good choice for several meals. The food is excellently cooked and beautifully presented. Service is excellent. Prices are good value. What more can one ask for!

Ate there twice over a 2 week period while renting a farmhouse about 4 kms outside of Issigeac. Every course was outstanding and the service was wonderful. Can't recommend it enough....
