We renewed our acquaintance with this great restaurant after coming back to France for the first time this year. The food is always of a high standard and the service friendly and attentive. Best restaurant in Issigeac by a country mile!

We live nearly an hour away, but regularly make the trip to enjoy a meal at this lovely restaurant as it's the best food we've found in the whole area. Cosy to sit inside in winter, lovely to eat on the covered terrace in summer, we have had numerous great meals here and always take our family here when they... More

We've eaten here a few times on visits to France and the food is consistently excellent. The service is also very good. A lovely selection of amuse-bouches provided by the chef was followed by entrees including mushroom and prawn pillows in a prawn bisque (yum!), asparagus and ham, and ox tail terrine. Our mains included goose and steak and were... More

We arrived early , but were allowed to sit ourselves down in the restaurant to wait. The staff were attentive and pleasant throughout. The menu choices were varied and relatively affordable , and an enjoyable meal was had by all .

We booked the restaurant purely on the basis of previous positive reviews when planning a short break in the area. The welcome and service were both friendly & professional and the food was excellent in presentation, taste and value for money. We asked for a local wine recommendation and it was refreshing to see that a mid-price wine was suggested... More

The hostesses were very friendly, and offered to speak in English is we preferred, but when we declined, was very chatty in French and explained the menus in detail, and recommended perfectly a wine to accompany our choices ( without just choosing a really expensive one) The food itself was generously portioned and excellent value for money. We opted for... More

The restaurant exudes a pleasant, relaxed, atmosphere. Food is excellent, although the sauces are a little on the “rich” side. The dining area is not very large but even when full, it does not give a crowded impression. Service is friendly and efficient, without overdoing it. The recommended regional wines are reasonable priced

A menu with delicious and unusual options - slow cooked beef cheeks, quail in pastry - no sign of the ubiquitous duck! Friendly professional service, attractive and homely ambiance. And above all, consistently excellent cooking, and such good value! What more could you wish for? We are now regular visitors.

Once again another stunning meal putting this restaurant at the top of local restaurants at which to eat. The carpaccio of fresh scallops and truffles was a delight: a wonderful combination beautifully dressed with oil and lemon zest on a tiny bed of salad that although there, did not interfere with the pleasure of the scallops. Perfect. Followed by baby... More
