Who would expect to find a restaurant this good in a little village in South West France. The menu provides enough variety, the food is superb, the service so friendly and warm with friendly owners, Phillip and Helene who are a delight. The price is more than reasonable with many little extras provided for free. Weekly lunch is a steal!... More

Loved this restaurant! Excellent food, friendly owners, reasonable priced and cosy atmosphere. I especially loved the fact that they offered some delicious small amuses for free. How often do you have to pay for extras you don't ask for, especially in Southern European countries? But here they really appreciate you as a guest!

We had Sunday lunch here. The whole experience from the moment we sat down to the end was superb. The food, the wine, the service, the mis-en-bouche, the petit fours etc I could keep on. Thoroughly recommend.

We have been trying to book this restaurant for a few weeks for Sunday lunch but it has always been fully booked. We decided to try a mid-week lunch. The menu is the same as usual but is cheaper (only 17.80 euros for 2 courses) and we spent 44 euros with a glass of wine and coffee each. A nice... More

This is a wonderful, family run restaurant which, being relatively local, I visit at every possible opportunity. The menu is small and typically french but there is always something I can chose from which, as a non-meat eater living in France is often difficult to find. The quality, preparation and presentation of the food is excellent as is the service... More

I reviewed this restaurant for TA back in December 2011, under the banner “A Pleasant Surprise in Rural France”. Time has flown, I can hardly believe that already it’s October 2013 (sigh). Through a strange twist of fate, my wife and I are back in the Bergerac region for a few days so of course we just had to revisit... More

We ate as a party of 6 in September. The food was excellent as was the service and it was inexpensive. This is not 'hearty meal' territory but is somewhere to savour the taste of well cooked and presented food. Superb lunch.

My parents live nearby. We were taken by friends who live locally; the place was packed. The menu is intimate, local and seasonal. the service is amazing and personal. The specials are definitely worth a go: the Perigourdine salad was a work of art. Beef was delicious. Was a complimentary starter and dessert. Excellent local wine. Amazing price. Lovely!

The quality of the food. The friendly service. The ambiance. Located in one of the most charming towns (Issegeac) in the area.

This couple from the Landes took over the place that is also a hotel in the famous village of Issigeac. Really nice atmosphere, good value for mobey and a smallish choice of dishes but boy are they great! The best meal we had in the area. Definitely worth a visit.
