Tried to eat here twice but it was closed both times. The second time they were serving a table of guests when we told by a very smug waiter that they were closed. We won't try again. Instead go to El pirata.

El Viejo is a well visited place in 'downtown' Los Barriles . Small and very informal with a heavy tourist vibe . Gringo visitors seem to love it more than long termers . Food is good although the fly situation is problematic . If swatting flies off your food is your version of 'live entertainment' you will enjoy it more... More

This place has great tacos. What I think really makes the tacos are all the sauces available at the front of the restaurant. Everything you could imagine, very fresh & behind a glass case. We did notice a number of people having pancakes & eggs so if you are looking for a traditional breakfast it's available. Yes, the flies can... More

We ate lunch at El Viejo twice while visitng Los Barriles- The fish tacos were really good and they had authentic Mexican toppings. The prices were really affordable and the service quick. The only complaint was there were a lot of flies and bees but that is to be expected at an outdoor eatery.

Perfect lunch shack in town for very fresh tacos. Many options on menu. Cold beers, and impressive condiments buffet bar to add ingredients to the tacos. I would eat here every day if I lived in Los Barriles.

The best tacos in town at the best price. What more can you say? The seafood is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Condiment bar is excellent. Service is fast and friendly. We eat lunch here every visit to Los Barriles - a few times a month all winter.

This place is great. Little hole in the wall with outdoor tables, great service and the kitchen is right there. Lunch has always been spectacular. Love me some fish tacos...We always hit this place several times when we're in town. You can't go wrong.

I live in Cabo where I have a multitude of seafood restaurants to choose from and the food here would rate at the top of that list. This place isn't easy to find. It looks like it's part of a shop, so you have to read the signs carefully to find it. It's a little hole in the wall, which... More

The readon this restaurant has remained busy through many years of good and bad times is the consistent great, inexpensive, food. Simple menu, quick service, great condiment bar. We go back at least monthly.

Not my favorite place in Los Barilles--that's reserved for the potato stand--but we always head here 2-3 times every time we're down for the week. I recommend the grilled shrimp, but any of the grilled fish options are also good. They have tons of toppings for the tacos and hot sauce options. A 5 diamond restaurant, this is not, but... More
