We found Sonora on tripadvisor and liked what we read so we gave it a go. What a fun time we had. Good food, drink and company. Definitely read through the reviews and get a feel of how this place runs because it will be bit confusing and frustrating if you don't know how it all works. This was so... More

After staying and dining in the resort restaurants, we decided to try this well-rated restaurant a short taxi ride away. For four of us (ordering three filet mignons and one ribeye dinner, potatoes and mushrooms), the bill and taxi fares turned out to be about half that of one of the more "artistic" restaurants at Grand Mayan. Definitely worth a... More

As other reviews have noted, first you pick out your meats and sides at the butcher, then they take them to the cook and finally bring the pm to your table. The number of choices were a little overwhelming at first, but we had been recommended not to miss the arrachera and the baked potatoes. Both were excellent. The provided... More

When you walk into this restaurant find a table, then go inside to the butcher and order your meat. The butcher will cut your meat any sixe you want. You order your side dishes and pay for your meal. The cashier will box your order and ask you how you want it cooked. She then gives your food to the... More

This was an interesting dining experience that I would highly recommend. You go and pick your own cut of meat from the butcher shop and then they grill it for you in the matter that you like. We tried the sirloin (it was fine) and the arrachera (absolutely delicious!). You can also order some sides with the meal - the... More

This restaurant is known for it's steaks but they serve a wonderful breakfast! For about 65 pesos you get coffee, juice, buffet of fruits, veggies, eggs, hot cakes etc. they also make fresh quesadillas to go with it! Good food, good value!

My husband received a recommendation from his golfing partner to try this place out, and we are so glad we did! Probably one of the BEST places to venture to while in Nuevo Vallarta! Quick 60 peso cab ride (if within the NV area), and we were dropped off to a delightful restaurant! Most of the seating is outdoor, either... More

We went 2 times already and plan to go back one or twice before the end of our stay. The "FILETE" filet mignon is so delicious and cook to your liking every time. Do not order to much because portions are big. A good meal for under $30 and you bring your own wine.
