Solid choice for dinner

What to choose when going to Fajita Republic? Fajitas, of course. The wife and I had the "Presidente" (steak, chicken, shrimp) and the "Ranchera" (steak, sausage). Meat portions were generous, and they came with a total of 6 small bowls filled with rice, guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo, beans and... read more

We went to Fajita Republic expecting a chain restaurant experience. But, wow! We were quite surprised by the quality of the food. We all ordered fajitas...there was steak, chicken, shrimp and chorizo around the table. And, it was all really flavorful. The tortillas were exceptional too. Just to top things off, we had to try the fried ice cream. The... More

I usually go to the Puerto Vallarta area about twice a year. Stopping at Fajita Republic for a meal is a must. I've tried the Steak Fajitas, Shrimp Fajitas, Steak Ranchera, Ribs and more. They were all delicious. Generous portion sizes. The ambience is quiet, the trees and water are nice. The service is pretty good and the meals come... More

We always stop once here during our month visit. We were with another couple. We had a table overlooking the water. I order steak fajitas which are good. My husband and Carol ordered spareribs. John ordered a shrimp dish. John was not happy with the shrimp that were not cleaned properly. My husband said the spareribs were average. Csrol loves... More

We ate here on our second last night while staying at the Grand Mayan. Trip Advisor reviews prompted us to come here. It was a $50 peso taxi ride to get here and the outlook is very nice along the river and at night the lights are very attractive. This was day 12 of a 14 day stay at Grand... More

My husband got the steak fajitas and I got the trio of steak, chicken, and shrimp. Delicious! The steak was so tender, the chicken was so juicy, and everything was full of flavor, including the tortillas. Also really enjoyed the salsa. They give you good portions--we had enough to take back as a small meal. We went during the slow... More

Nothing really bad about this place, served its purpose for a meal.. It was the slow season when I went. Completely empty... Service was ok but sort of awkward... Took my food before I was completely done.. This place seems like chain type food. So many choices in the area.

It is the off season so the place was completely empty... It is an open dining area. The staff and food were ok. I liked how the chips were served. Overall, not bad, nothing special. Probably wouldn't return

These guys get busy so make sure you go early. They are a bit pricey - folks this is after all Mexico and the pricing is higher than the US pricing - so they cater to the tourists.
