Seafood right on the Malecon

The seafood is great. We ate upstairs and also enjoyed and cooled off with a pitcher of their homemade lemonade (non-alcoholic.) The shrimp tacos were loaded. View was great.

Mary's was OK with reasonable prices. i had grilled fish and a shrimp and octopus cocktail it was very good. you have a view to the sea and the location has stores you can look around through. they also serve Mexican food .

Not fancy, but clean, service is good, view is excellent, and their scallop tacos are oh just so tasty! This place is loved by locals. Parking may be hard to find, if visiting on a weekend afternoon.

This place is located on the Malecon and is part of a group of open air restaurants. We usually follow the crowds when we're not sure but in this case we asked one of the locals and she recommended Marys. We wondered why it was not as full as the place next door but the next day we figured out... More

This worst food ever, the shrimp tastes like cardboard, my gods ordered fryers and they looked like they where spoiled before the where cooked, they where green, my son says they taste like trash. The best part about the visit was leaving.

Love the food and service at this place. We went 2 days in a row because the food and service was so good.

I have a hard time with one of the previous reviewers who said this is a tourist trap and the food sucks. We have been coming here for years and have taken many friends here. They all want to come back. The margeritas are good made from scratch not mixers. The avocado surprise is everyone's favorite. Two avocados cut in... More

It's a tourist trap. The waiters seem to be ex-cons running from the law that found a job as waiters here. The fish tacos are the worst tacos I've ever had! When any Rubios fast food restaurant can beat your fish tacos then you are in trouble. The fish tacos were made of a grilled tilapia fillet on a tortilla... More

We have seen Mary's transform from a very small very quaint restaurant to a nice two level establishment; the food or service has never wavered . You may call us crazy but my wife and I have made the six hour round trip just to have lunch.but hey isn't life about the adventures. The shrimp is fantastic as are the... More

This was the first place we ate on out arrival and it was a great start to our trip. Terrific service, great view right on the water, and delicious food! The shrimp cocktail and fried shrimp are especially good.
