JJ's had a neat set up. Outside of a shaded patio connected to the bar is a series of stepped banquets that lead down to the beach. These are cement and flank a center set of stairs, kind of like a small stadium. Each banquet feels like it could seat 6 people comfortably and there's a small raised stage for... More

My wife and I decided to check out this bar while we were at RP. I was told that it was a legendary bar that had been in RP for a long time. It was to my wife's delight that everyone was speaking English there. I looked around the bar while she ordered our beers at $1.50 per. The bar... More

Absolut must stop in Rocky Point/Cholla Bay! Go there once and you will be there twice. JJ's has been a staple to local in Penasco for almost 40 years. Great drinks and awesome fish tocos even late night menu! We have a home in Cholla and never go there without a stop at the CANTINA!

JJ's is a local hangout and to many it is legendary. To me, this is a very rundown place that needs a good cleaning and intensive repairs. The food here is below average, at best. (One exception might be PH Naffah's annual Hot Dog and a Smile event.) Personally, at JJ's if it is served on a plate or in... More

Stopped in for breakfast, cook/cashier was pretty rude. Canned beans and hard tortillas, it was cheap though.

JJ's is an Icon of the area - it's been around for ages (and it shows). Don't come here for food, but do drop in for drinks. Happy Hour is the BEST time to go to mingle with the locals. What JJ's lacks in sparkle it makes up for in people. The locals (and frequent visitors) area always up for... More

We were the only customers when we arrived for lunch. The cook misunderstood beef burritos and we got beans. They were very small, but all the tortillas in the restaurants in Rocky Point that we went to had tiny tortillas. You think you're ordering a meal sized burrito or a couple tacos and you get snack size portions. But the... More

if you are looking for a teenager's spring break kind of place, come here. sticky floors, expensive and over cooked fish but good priced drinks. loud music and atmosphere of immature drinkers (spring breakers). country music and golf on tv. clean bathrooms.

Had to visit based on recommendations, but it was a cooler day so the front doors were closed and the place is very dark with no other windows. The food was below average - burger platter was on par with a fast food restaurant and the fish and chips were small and fried in what was likely old oil. I... More
