Little bit of Paradise

Showed up late (after closing), and Mark, the owner, still made us the best fish sandwich ever. And a couple of margaritas. Then hung out at the bonfire with Oliver - German guy riding his bike thru Baja (and other places) and a couple from Tijuana. This place was amazing. And it was dog... read more

Have had breakfast & lunch there, also stopped for cocktails several times. Food and company were great. Walk out the door for a quick swim in Concepcion Bay.

Buenaventura is an amazing place, my brother and drove on our motorcycles right past in a hurry to la Paz on our way to cabo. On our way back north I decided we had to spend a night here because of its pure beauty. Having drove the entire Baja and living in la Paz for six months, this spot is... More

The southernmost restaurant on the bay. Great views. Excellent home cooked food and good drinks. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Very clean, too. There's a great beach there for swimmers, divers or just taking a nap on the sand. Its next door to an abandoned hotel with quite a history. It is owned by a scary guy from Tijuana whose nickname... The drive down Mexico Highway 1 along Bahia Concepción must rank in the top-ten most beautiful drives in the world, so you could easily miss this gem nestled into a small cove. Don't make that mistake . . . you would be missing out on the super-friendly Restaurant-Bar Playa San Buenaventura! Be ready to turn off onto the driveway where... More

This is a real mom & pop type place, run by America expats. stopped in on our way to Mulege based on the reviews and were not dissappointed. It's a funky divey little place on the beach with 3 dogs assisting you. we had the famous (according to the owner/chef) fish sandwiches which were huge, flavorful and should be famous.... More

Bar and restaurant ON the beach. Great food. Quiet. No jet skies or pangeros reving up at six a.m like on the other Bahia Conception beachs. I came to stay for a couple days and was there a week later. I ate in the restaurant every day with a different meal and they were all exceptional. After dinner you could... More

Living a few miles up the bay we generally stop by while boating. Great view, right on the water, cold beer, good mixed drinks, stories 'til ya burst! The food is fresh and the portions large.

We found this little spot on the back end of our Baja roadtrip, wish we'd found it on the front end. Super friendly proprietors, cold beer, excellent fish sandwiches, and a few other amenities that are pretty scarce in Baja (showers, flush toilets, etc...) all right on the water. This will be basecamp next time we're headed to Baja.

Great bar in the middle of some of the best beaches in Baja! Cold beer, awesome views, and good conversation. Nathan, the bartender, is a funny dude, and he's full of information about the area. I didn't try the food, but I know they get fresh seafood in there all the time.
