We were pleased to find this excellent restaurant so close to our accommodation. The menu was very good, but we were advised of a deadline to vacate our table which we did agree to. The food was well prepared and served promptly and the waitresses were good fun. Our only concern was that we did feel that the meal was... More

Carla and Dan and team once again delighted us with a superb meal -- this time on our wedding anniversary . Dan's Kitchen is very nearby where we stay when visiting the Island -and has always provided excellent food and very good service . We shall have no hesitation in recommending Dan's to anyone . But be sure to book... More

Went twice in August and you have to book as it is that good. Some unusual dishes and good fish dishes. All ingredients are fresh. A delight. Will be going back.

Our first visit to this little restaurant with a big inside! The tables are wall to wall and the people are packed in and on a Wednesday night too!! You immediately see why. The service is first class. We had a perfect meal which could not be faulted. Different tastes and textures, macaroni cheese and mackerel, open crab sandwich, a... More

Having read all the amazing reviews we thought we would book here. Maybe it was an 'off night' but we were both disappointed with the mains in particular. We choose the Steak (medium) and the sea bass. Both were very average, the fish was tasteless and the steak poor quality and overcooked more than half of it being inedible. We... More

We could only get an early table at 6.30 which we nearly cancelled but thank god we didn't. It was all totally delicious, really good. I had turbot and crab risotto which was a stunning mixture of soft rich crab risotto perfectly cooked with very fresh fillets of turbot. My husbands starter of macaroni and smoked haddock was not only... More

We have a holiday home in St. Helens and we make sure we visit Dan's every time we go across. The front of house team are warmly welcoming and prompt and attentive in their service. The food is always of a very high standard with a good range of dishes and particularly attractive specials. Sea food is always a treat... More

Wherever you are on the island, a visit to Dan's kitchen is a must. We sneaked a late booking for Saturday lunch and loved every minute of it. Great selection of wines to accompany a nice selection but not extensive choice of dishes. Dan and his kitchen team have obviously work hard to perfect the dishes that they do produce... More

Having read all of the reviews, we can only surmise we must have visited on an 'off' day. 'Lite bites' v poor value for money as a lunch and what must have been yesterday's bread, which, despite having been told 'just waiting for it to warm through', arrived cold. There are lots of lovely places to eat round St Helens... More
