Good food, great service

Service was attentive and friendly. Food was fantastic and felt individually prepared and in our case it was for the coeliac with us. He was offered almost identical menu to us with adjustments where necessary. Really good value. Recommend every time

We heard about this restaurant from friends but when we called they were fully booked but if we went early we could have a table as long as we were out by 8 pm. We snapped this up as don't like eating late. Ordered a deconstructed fish pie which was delicious although it could have been a bit hotter. For... More

Superb food. Great service. Better than Rick Stein! Treat yourself - you deserve it. Our favourite restaurant on the island.

We'd been trying to get friends to join us here for a meal for ages but through circumstances had always failed. However we recently succeeded and it was worth persevering. Nice atmosphere, friendly waitress, superb food. We went for the A La Carte, and for three courses this is not cheap - 4 people plus wine and gratuity - £145.... More

Small but perfectly formed, this delightful restaurant, by the Green in St Helens, is one of our favourite places to eat on La Isla. About 40 covers so reservations absolutely up there with being organised in the Summer months but in March, a call the day before and we dropped in for an early supper. Both of us totally spannered... More

The Isle of Wight's a lovely place but there are more tacky, insipid eateries here than you can shake a saltpot at, which is why I'm bothering to review Dan's Kitchen. It bucks the trend. We had a really good, comfortable, friendly, well-fed evening here in a bright atmosphere with decent food. The menu combines inventive offerings (I had chicken... More

All the reviews are spot on - this was by far the best restaurant we went to on our IoW trip. Each course we had were on their own the best meals we had and dessert was the best dessert i have ever had in my life ('Bourbon' biscuit with salted caramel sauce), you really must make an effort to... went there for a fantastic dinner. Service and atmosphere faultless as usual but main event is the food which seems to have gone up a notch from an excellent standard. Very imaginative short menu with something for everyone. Rather clever if they run out of an ingredient they'll do same dish with another type of fish for instance. Very good... More
