We could only get an early table at 6.30 which we nearly cancelled but thank god we didn't. It was all totally delicious, really good. I had turbot and crab risotto which was a stunning mixture of soft rich crab risotto perfectly cooked with very fresh fillets of turbot. My husbands starter of macaroni and smoked haddock was not only... More

We have a holiday home in St. Helens and we make sure we visit Dan's every time we go across. The front of house team are warmly welcoming and prompt and attentive in their service. The food is always of a very high standard with a good range of dishes and particularly attractive specials. Sea food is always a treat... More

Wherever you are on the island, a visit to Dan's kitchen is a must. We sneaked a late booking for Saturday lunch and loved every minute of it. Great selection of wines to accompany a nice selection but not extensive choice of dishes. Dan and his kitchen team have obviously work hard to perfect the dishes that they do produce... More

Having read all of the reviews, we can only surmise we must have visited on an 'off' day. 'Lite bites' v poor value for money as a lunch and what must have been yesterday's bread, which, despite having been told 'just waiting for it to warm through', arrived cold. There are lots of lovely places to eat round St Helens... More

We visited this restaurant while on holiday on the Isle of Wight and we can't recommend it enough. Carla was great at the front of house, she had kindly reserved us a lovely table at the front overlooking the green. We ordered from the 3 course menu which was extremely good value and it is very rare these days where... More

Everyone will enjoy this experience, quite pricey but actually decent value for a very fine and memorable treat.

Had a fantastic evening and where treated to some tasty experimentation. Staff very friendly and helpful altogether a wonderful... More

Well cooked, prepared and served food which was a delight to enjoy. Really good wine list which didn't cost the earth. If you are on the I.O.W. then treat yourself you deserve it!!! . Booked a second visit before we had left the building and that is some praise from our family. Brilliant reviews from all.

A family of five (incl. four year old grand-daughter); we had a good meal with wide choice of dishes, well cooked and presented; excellent & friendly service although it cost slightly more than we expected.
