Good local food

Great spot but I'm a little biased having grown up here. Always fresh and local,or they don't have any. Apparently the Rappie Pie is great but I always get the fish or clams (I save the Rappie Pie for home). Service is great and in both official languages. I had the dessert today for the first time... read more

We ate lunch here, I ordered the scallops and fries, my husband had the burger and potato skins. He liked his dinner, said the burger was pretty good, but the potato skins weren't great. It's too bad, because the problem was with the toppings, the actual skins were cooked well, but the toppings were not very high quality (think processed... More

I got fish and shrimp. The highlights: 1.large portions of fish. 2. The place has a neat atmosphere with church bench seats, which is characteristic of the Catholic history of the area. 3. The seafood is cheap. Downsides: 1. All the seafood is deep fried. (At least, it appeared that way) 2. The veggies were frozen from a bag. You... More

We stopped in for a late lunch and everyone had seafood of some sort, the fish is lightly battered and fresh. I had clams scallops and fish which was fantastic and curbed my craving for clams I have had for months. The server Lisa is always helpful and friendly and service is fast. This is an awesome place and not... More

The food here is very good and the portions are usually quite good sized. The rappie pie is homemade and excellent. All the food is freshly made and the fish is from local suppliers. The restaurant itself is small and cramped with booths that are quite uncomfortable however the friendly staff and food make up for that.A great place for lunch or... More

Melt in the mouth clams as well as other seafood at a reasonable price. Need lots of tartar sauce with it to perfect. Miss this soo much !!!! Friendly staff in a character house . The waitress has worked there for 15 years and remembers us from decade ago. It is located on the other side of the beach across... More

When we are in the area we always stop in and have at least one meal at Roadside. It is quite a busy place, especially in the summer. The food is East-Coast style, with their specialties like fried clams, Haddock, scallops, Chowder, etc. Most of the food is fried, but not too greasy, and very healthy portions. I tried the... More

Visited here with my boyfriend's family who are from the area. His grandmother was craving fried clams and this was the place to have them. She recommended that I have the "small" seafood platter to have a taste of everything. It came with fried clams, fried fish and fried scallops (french fries, peas and a side of coleslaw included). The... More
