Visited here with my boyfriend's family who are from the area. His grandmother was craving fried clams and this was the place to have them. She recommended that I have the "small" seafood platter to have a taste of everything. It came with fried clams, fried fish and fried scallops (french fries, peas and a side of coleslaw included). The... More

My husbands favorite place to have fried clams...never greasy and a good size serving. There pan fried haddock is very good as well. Leave room for dessert...homemade pies.

The Roadside Grill was recommended to us by a local resident and we were not disappointed. With one exception (our five-year-old who decided that she wanted a cheeseburger) we all had scallops, fish and chips. It was perfectly cooked and the coleslaw was well above-average. The Grill also serves thick, luscious milkshakes ... we were pleasantly overstuffed as we left.

Every trip to Nova Scotia requires at least on feed of fried clams. The clams here were as good as any I've had.

The Roadside Grill at Belliveaus Cove is a convenient stopping point. It’s more than convenient, it’s surprisingly bright and light, unsurprisingly welcoming, happily bi-lingual, and has great views to the ocean. Oh, and it serves excellent food – typically North American in quantity – at modest prices, just as it has been doing for many decades. A a little gem... More

I live next door to this place. I have probably been here 100 times and it has been great every single time! David, the owner, takes great pride in his restaurant and it shows. The portions are generous and the seafood is always fresh. The seafood platter is the cat's meow. Might i add the service is great and you... More

Whenever I am in Nova Scotia I have to come here for a fried clams and a milkshake. Been coming here since the 70's and have never been disappointed. If you are passing through skip the fast food and stop here.

One of our family traditions as a local - we often enjoy our Sunday lunch following church at the Roadside Grill. My favorite is the homemade chicken rapure pie with coleslaw. It is made fresh almost every day of the year, but when it runs out, it runs out - much more difficult to get it by suppertime. I enjoy... More

Since a young child, I have been making stops at the Roadside Grill. On each visit to see family, Roadside Grill is our first stop when first entering Clare. The quality is always great as is the value (huge portions!). My personal favorites is the Clam & Chips platter or the Hot Chicken Sandwich & Fries. Getting a dish of... More
