Great atmosphere and food

We did not sit long before the Chef was talking to us while she was cooking for the other tables. The warmth and passion was clear and we knew we were in for a great experience. Went three times in the space of a week in April 2014. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to (and I've been to several Michelin-starred and many other fantastic restaurants across Europe, Asia and the US). Not sure if La Pescalune has Michelin stars, but it should do. Imaginative but unpretentious, elegant and absolutely delicious food. And... More

Virginie is an innovative chef and with her menu formule managed to delight our taste buds. She chatted, joked and teased us as she cooked whilst we enjoyed the ambience of the small indoor restaurant. The veloute with truffles was delicious and the lamb so tender it melted in your mouth but the pineapple with ginger was out of this... More

The cook seems to have participated in a French television cooking contest. Hosting, cooking and serving, she does it all on her own here in this small restaurant with just a few tables. The food is good, nice ingredients and well prepared and presented. However, this lady lacks the right skills and/or personality to run this place on her own.... More

Virginie as extended her terrace so this place has become even better than before. Great food and super atmosphere. Try the profiterole with foie gras!

We went with a table of 6 with two fluent French speakers who when booking had asked if they could cater for a vegetarian which was confirmed. When we ordered and said to the waitress that my wife was a vegetarian we got the response, as with so many in France, in that she just shrugged her shoulders! So we... More

Virginie works so hard to create wonderfully fresh and exciting dishes - passing by in the afternoon you can glimpse her prepping the freshly bought fish from the market for the evening. The menu is compact but varied and every dish we ate was surprising in its delivery of flavour and texture. Sometimes she gets caught up in the kitchen... More

A delightful meal with the charming waitress very eager to please. The dining tables are set out on the end of the car park - but that sounds much less pleasing than it actually was: it was a quiet location and there was a lovely view. A small menu but all the better for that - it was imaginative, delicious... More

Creative, out of the ordinary dishes with thoughtful inventive taste combinations that really work together, a lot of thought & preparation has gone into creating these distinctive menus to make this an eating experience which, for us anyway, stands out from many others. How often is one truly excited about what you are eating so that the meal, the tastes... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely be back. Chef Virginie Martinetti is a real character and her personality really shines through her menu. I don’t think she ever goes home - I walked past the restaurant several times and she was always there working, no matter what time it was. It was really refreshing to be in a... More
